I always get exercise wrong. ( I had to google it even now) it’s a horrible word in every way. Doing it is horrible, spelling it is horrible, it even looks ugly when it’s written.

Trump has a terrible time with exercise as well ,

Dystopian Melody , and not just as a word !

Now if you really wanted to get rid of it , you

would have to exorcise it from your reality !

Grammatically Wrong!

My Furry Friend

O wear O wear can you bee?
My worry for you doesn't go free
I loose touch every now and then
Wondering if I will sea you again
From the depth of my soul too the core of my heart
I've been missing you since the start.
I red in the paper you seamed dayzed
Lost and confused and wandering for days
Until we meat again, I walk with a yolk around my neck
As worries and fears away they peck
At my heart and soul.

The heir around me grows very thin
Wondering if I'll ever win
To hold you in my arms again
But truly until then
I will search for you without a brake
Knowing it is your life at steak.
And I love you to much two let you go
For deep down inside we both due no
You are more than my pet in the end
You are my buddy, my furry friend.

Hi!  Welcome to DUP!!  Excellent point you bring!!

When in doubt, trick is to see the letter before the ei or ie.  if the letter that comes before the ei or ie is a C, you always use ei = receive (Letter before is C, use ei)

All other times, you will most likely use ie = achieve.  (Letter before is H not C, use ie).

AWESOME post, Akhilson!!

Well , Darn And Dang Nab It !

I thought hair fit too , Cyndi , but I understand Air was the word you meant !

What I was really bummed about was it took me 4 whole minutes to figure it

out , and type the answer...when you only use one finger to type it can take a bit longer !

...LOL...( true though )

As per your answer to Akhilson , this is true ;

Yet this was addressed by Lepperochon , and

he pointed out that *fixed* rule does not *always* apply ;

Hmmm...perhaps he or others can bring examples to the

cybertable and show us where this is so...

That would be appreciated !

Thank you for the compliment on the thread...

I can only hope others feel the same , we all

learn from each other , and have more fun

than a barrel of chimpanzees who learned to

type while doing that !

I wrote a poem about autocorrect and spell check :

I never use them !

****************************************************

Spell Check This Sucka

Mary Poppins Would Have Taken Her Bumbershoot

To Spell Check And Auto Correct If They Messed With Her

Super Kali Fragilistic XP Alidocious , How Atrocious They

Think It Is Their Right , I Never Use Them , And If Auto Correct

Tried Messing With My Words , I Would Help It Take A Sinister

Turn Off A Cliff On A Short Highway To Hell , With Bells On ;

Who Is The Bellwether And Instigator Of This Devious Plot ?

Are They Jackal And Hiding Between My Pharaoh Raises ,

Waiting To Crown Themselves As Lords Of Khem We Get It

Right This Time ?

Well , Fumanchu On You , Clone Clowns Of Some Universe ,

I Got Some Heavy Meddle I Be Pedaling Foot To The Floor

What You Gonna Do When I Jest Pluck Your Petals I. A. Not

A Chicken , This Is Your Fall Hour Flower Blooming In My Mind ,

Have A Chew While I Have Achoo , At You With My Bumbershoot

Leave My Weyyrds Alone , Or I Shall Have A Verbal Bite ,

Give You Twenty Lashes With My Tongue , Until Your Lashes

Cry Fore Mare Sea Hit Your Balls With My Club And Bury U

In The Sand Pit Beyond The Verdant Green ;

As The Bumber Shoot Rises In The Morning Son's Hands :

Yes, Blackwolf, your word "hair" enlightened me and I referred back to my poem to substitute "heir" with "hair" and it sure WOULD have made a GOOD fit, too...So, it led me to think that I could have definitely used "hare," instead of "heir." So many opened possibilities you uncovered.....LOL.

Leprechaun is RIGHT! Yes, indeed....While the "rule of thumb" makes it EASIER, there ARE "exceptions" to this rule...(Isn't there ALWAYS)?...(smiles). However, the "rule of thumb" outlined can help reduce errors, significantly, for the MOST part...:)

PERFECTION is the goal, but REDUCTION in errors is the FIRST step toward EXCELLENCE...:)
