this one though does not change a thing when poem is listened to but a kinda unsettling one when is read coz it takes you off course for a bit- the confusion between
there and their
for me i prefer listening poetry(in head) more than reading...so these spelling 'errors' make not much difference to me, for poetry is a listening experience for me..speaking only for self dear Wolfie Sir!

I can appreciate that point , Cold Fusion , yet here on DUP ,
we are encouraged to read others' poems , and I get very
distracted from the flow of the poem by spelling mistakes ,
or punctuation errors ;
Further , if we are to be respected wordsmiths , I believe in
showing we truly know word play , and usage of language ,
we are demonstrating our proficiency at conveying messages
in a form utilized by the intelligent portion of the populace ,
thus contributing to higher education , not pandering to the
lowest common denominator of lazy mindedness ;
When I was young , each day I had to learn new words , and
be able to spell them , or I could not leave the house to play ;
Then , I thought it was torture ; now I am most thankful to my mother !
Thank you for your contribution , and response !

when I type "the" and hit submit and it lands as tge I want to kill my cyber flies...
Oh pleez can we bring "please" back and I'd love you to death if u was spelled "you" again.
While we are here Mr. Wolf would you be kind enough to explain to me, when "there" is correct and when "thier" or "their" is a better autocorrect, my life would be better.
;)

There - A place. “I am going over there”
Their - Belonging to somebody “Their purse. Their bag. Their phone.”
They’re - They are.
Thier - African dictionary. Not a word. Burn it with fire. Unless you’re in Northern England saying ‘there’ with an accent - “it’s over thier...”

Dear Al ;
Nice post !
I do believe Missy's post said it well ;
( Thank You , Missy ! )
You are extremely hilarious with your sense ( not scents , or cents )
of humor , so please , continue as desired ;
This could turn into quite the comedy thread !
And yes rhythm is often spelled incorrectly ;
I love your acronym !
How about :
Scene
Seen
or
Raise
Raze
or
Defer
Differ
or
Compliment
Complement
?

You have to make allowances for English spelling and American-English spelling as well... that’s always an interesting one.

and Africanese. Just cos (because) we're African you hate us. *stomp*
Have you seen the number of people who want us to "keep quite"?
Quite...(what?) Might be shoes, small shoes.. keep quite small shoes... Why should we keep quite small shoes?
Okay okay I'll keep quiet!

An example of a sentence with the words from my last post :
"I was seen making the scene , raising the roof at the rave ,
before they razed the building the next day , and I deferred
to the owner , though I differed with his decision , therefore
I could not compliment him on his action , as I felt the club
complemented the surrounding neighborhood !"

(slight sidetrack) I've noticed recently i say ting a lot. its a local thing. ting can mean literally anything. kinda like smurf does in smurf land. plus "the last day" which can mean any day which has passed.
anyhoe Its and It's still hasn't registered properly. plus school used to push the i before e 'cept after c which turned out to be deceptive
that is all. possibly
