Since it's a lot easier to post photos on DU now, I thought it would be nice to have a thread where DU members can share their visual art (drawing, painting, sculpture, photography..anything visual really) and art they like ^~^
how very beautiful! I especially love the first one
Lots of men in my family hunt and antlers have always seemed beautiful to me on their own, but i like how they look carved too, they have a tribal quality which feels akin to ancient cave paintings and Aztec art, ..it's probably very difficult to achieve

Actually , for me , these flow as easily as my poetry...
There is The Horned Goddess , Muse of Carving !
( And Horned God )
But yes , the Dragon's Breath piece took about 120 hrs :
( full carved antler , look on the left handle , and you shall
see the Eye and Snout , and the rest is Smoke And Fire )
As did some of the others...;)
I carve pieces like these , jewelry , crowns , athames / knives ,
and have made walking canes / sceptres , and sculptures from
carved pieces fit together ;
As far as art , in general I once represented over 160 top of the line
artists , and put on up to 5,000 sq ft. art shows...1990's early...
Been there , done that !
