If there was a greater spread and emphasis on positive life-affirming events, information, ideas, sentiments; surely this would not just make the world a better place in intention but in reality. A celebration and honouring of the simple everyday acts of good, that however mundane or tedious, maintain and push for a better existence. Not a total throwing out of every sick and perverse or violent thing, but a mustering and channelling towards the better.
Did any of that make sense to you?

That makes perfect sense Viddax and I do believe it is called finding the middle way, having balance in life.
Do you like to enter poetry competitions, i.e. not on DU, but elsewhere for recognition and sometimes money?

I feel rather nervous, in part because this is my first poetry website, and also because I’m not 100% sure I’m answering this forum correctly, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

yes, a few, i think my favorite is a poem(or a part of a poem) by Paul Guest:
“Here is the topography of false starts. Here
a whole constellation is lousy with desire.
Here what passes for love is the same
as anywhere. Here no one has said
a prayer for the stars, and here no one
comes, except to leave, except to stay
long enough to bruise.”
what are your hobbies?

The one at work, where I don't get shit-listed or corrective-actioned, but everyone still knows exactly what I think of them....

I pretty much live on an island in reality.
Do you think that in the future memory erasement will be common medical procedure for humans as a means to reduce suicide, alcoholism, or drug abuse, and if it did become a reality, would you consider having your mind wiped if life became unbearable, due to some kind of personal trauma or experience?

I think my main thought here is... who isn’t suffering some sort of trauma on some sort of level? Everyone is fighting a battle, really. I mean you’d have to wipe half of humanity. And then surely you’d lose half of the worlds infrastructure because skilled technicians etc would lose their skills.
More complex than initially thought.
I for one, wouldn’t have my mind wiped. Living is what made me, me.
Would you ever donate your body to medical science after you die?

No for two important reasons: I cannot rap and my rhyme takes time and chance to build up steam, plus ridiculing and berating someone is not my style. Well, the last part can be done with a little quip or lengthy essay without having to bother with meter or beat.
