How the characters in the story, have plenty of time and interest to have sex while being chased by monsters, people with guns, tornadoes, alien invasions, etc. .... I'd be crapping my pants and certainly would not be in the mood for a little nookie, if any of the aforementioned catastrophes were on my doorstep, yet (some) authors seem to think this is actually possible and realistic.
