might be hard to correlate an open palm with resistance. not in the conventional sense. closed is a fist. semantics aside though: palm/ fist/emblem/flag/music/ litriture all have the potential of pulling masses down gravity wells towards someone's ancestors. ancestor's realm probably have its troubles also
