The allure of posting poems to popular categories
As for me, i am new to this. writing poetry is something new. I dont even choose the category before I write. almost always I look for prompts and if something spark, id write. i worry about the category later on after the fact.
Having done some initial research when joining this website I avoid these categories (erotic, drug, extreme content) because the content seems to be more "emotional throwing up" than poetry. Nothing wrong with poetically doing some emotional throwing up when the need arises but it seems more appropriate for a private journal than public consumption. However, I also like that DUP provides a space for it.
