the warbles of birds
the wind soughing
on the eaves
a childhood lived
teen years and mistakes

I wish I could walk
through them again
just for a while.

Dream

we were going home
but the water was bubbling
from underground
there would be a geyser
or a volcanic eruption
of hot water
I saw them bubble
underneath the soil

and then a feast
in a crowded house
a station perhaps
and pickled boar meat
on the buffet table

there's a place to sit
on a plywood sheet
with others sitting around
on the floor
eating  and drinking

I  stood at the buffet table
and wasn't served
the food was white
but I didn't taste it

Bob Dylan could make this
into a psychedelic song.
