Writers should be fighting for free speech and attacking restrictions. Writers and poets should be allowed to write about absolutely anything without political interference. All opinions are valid, nobody has a monopoly on the truth (Facts)

I'm punching the LIKE button hard.

I'll also smash a like at that...

Below is a link to a pretty good fact checking site. The first thing you should do is look at the "about us" page, and learn how and by whom they are funded...but you won't.

Read the whole thing, heartily agree about the environment and economy, disagree that it doesn't matter, thanks for the link.

I'm for self censorship, but psychos and assholes intent on harm don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves, so society imposes penalties that take many forms, the most effective of which is banning/shunning.

I laugh when people who are trying to protect themselves and others are called snowflakes by those who chant shit like "build the wall", none of whom are natives.

I also am annoyed and tired of all the "if so and so had done that" BS.  It'd be fucking lovely to deal with real issues rather than hypothetical BS.

I'm of socialist bent, take care of the planet  take care of the people as a whole, individuals will always have struggles, we can reduce them but eliminating them is neither possible or advisable.

As to writing/speaking about "absolutely anything" why is there never any accompanying thought of the ramifications and consequences along with those types of statements?

Equating Trump with Hitler or Mussolini is wide of the mark, in my opinion. My own image would be that of a 14-year-old boy who's never read a book in his life and whose dad gave him way too much pocket-money. Now he's sitting around with only his money and his cellphone. He doesn't know who anybody is or where anything is, he's bored stiff and looking for ways to pass the time. The only drawback is that the rest of us are living on the same house!

Simple do what simple can
Running round we kick the can
Fundamental errors stay
All around us all the day
Quiet now, these silent men
Never strong, & never been
.
.
Think they know something of the world
Honey, it ain't that easy
