Thanks for explaining things more simply Blaze, I am slow, but I get their eventually.  I take your point as valid and take back my use of erroneous.  The internet as a free distribution system was its purpose.  Porn went online as soon as it could making access universal to computer users over night. Which ties in with the anonymous comment, that stated its the parents fault. I don't believe it was the fault of parents born before the mid 80's. The people who had kids after the internet  was mainstream are partly to blame for ignoring the truth of it. But those born way back had no idea their kids could access days worth of hardcore pornography and probably still don't. I think the culture of porn sites should be investigated and maybe some website producers and shareholders should be held responsible. Also there has been no successful  government infomercials to educate and warn parents how easy it is to access, you can't blame people for being ill informed. You shouldn't have to search for important information that  protects children.  Many aspects of culture, education and internet engineers should work together to protect those underage and educate adults who have kids to do the same. Putting a parental block on is lazy, talking honestly is far more beneficial. Now i'll shut up...

porn(parn) has played a major role in evolving the internet and i quote

"
While the military created the Internet, it would not have found a solid consumer base without porn. Not only did the adult industry find enough early consumers to keep the Internet around, but it then pioneered streaming video, tracking devices and online credit card transactions. The concept of ecommerce, which is now a major part of the world economy, owes much of its early existence to porn.

So just as religion makes creation of life sinful by definition, so too we treat the driving force that created what we are communicating with right now.

Its titled vacancy, I only posted because a section of the books is dedicated to sex and its role and emotional weight in our lives. if you can give it a look and or even download it for free on the 31st, it features amazing art work to compliment each piece.  I just want critiques to improve my writing. Thanks!

Hi,
I really like this. I think this is a clear positive to internet porn. I never would have looked at it this way thank you Rabbit quest and everyone else for contributing to the discussion. I even feel that this makes it all seem like it has been worth it. I just wish that there was a way of making it safer for the younger audience. I have learnt a lot from this thread. its been an education in things i didn't know how to research. talking always makes big scary thing seem less scary. cheers.
For the sake of keeping the discussion going

is there any need for the horrible stuff? naked men and women is natural but some dark  stuff out there I have only heard about seems unnecessary.

I have to concede that major damage is being done to society
Data from 1991 reveals that over 75% of males had had sex at some point during their high school years.
The  females were passive fruits plucked off of trees, so to speak, with the male as the initiator, as in inviting the girl onto a date, or to drive to lovers hill, or to run out of gas, etc, etc.

By 2011, the number had dropped to 40%,
and in 2018 the age of raging availability of onlline porn,  only 27% of high school males had.

The rest have been sucked into clicking on videos, and draining their urges into napkins and racking up huge vaseline bills.
There is not much hope for these lost males to try to gain a partner as they find the real thing boring and difficult to feed and maintain.

If porn was made illegal or was heavily filtered by governments, it will only go to the deep web... and kids will still access it, mum and dad won't have a clue, and prostitution, sexual harassment, sexual abuse and rape would probably rise.

Porn has its purpose, just like religion... but too much porn makes humans lazy; physically, mentally and romantically.  If self control is too difficult and kids aren't taught how to get high on life and endorphins, then there's only one solution...

runeaxxe said:It's definitely a problem, and I believe porn's effects are farther reaching than we might be aware of. I'm almost certain the reason a lot of men only view women as objects for sex is due to porn. Statistically speaking, a lot of men my age can't even "get it up" with a real woman anymore because we're all so hardwired to pornography. A lot of us (including myself) started watching it at a young age, so the sexual aspect of our brains have been sculpted by it. Most of the time, no one is there to talk to you about sex when you're young, so porn becomes that outlet for sexual education. I've been trying to quit watching it for almost three years; it's definitely an addiction, and there's a lot of incoming science to back that statement up.

Men objectified women LONG before porn became so readily available.  In fact, it was even more of a problem before so.

That’s a question that don’t need to be answered lol.

My partner doesn't care if I even sleep with someone else, let alone masturbate to them.  Getting jealous because your partner fantasizes about someone else or gets off on looking at them is beyond pathetic.

But hey, that's "true love" for yuh.  Just another form of socially sanctioned insecurity.

look! The internet is a beautiful monster and I don't judge what happens to who, when,  whatever as long as everyone is safe. But will somebody please think of the children.  They should and could  invent child friendly browsing  that actually works. If they can create ways to sell us stuff we didn't even know existed then they can create a child safe internet experience. There is no need to completely ban anything, adults can do what they want, no one is trying to ban porn except fundamentalists. But if Facebook and eBay and google are possible then safe internet can be done. If you are willing to accept that children are going to see it then you are no friend of mine, in fact you can duck off.
