TILT

Where will you virtually go today?
To the ends of the earth where all will follow?
To where the world will fall in love again
With images of your beauty they will swallow
And it’s here when you must comprehend
   That passion sometimes goes unrequited
After all the watchers maybe watching
Diligently from a distance uninvited
And in the inquisitive visages of vanity
Catering to your every secret and need
You provide the information they wanted
       Undaunted and unknowingly you concede
Narcissus and Echo would be astounded
With what the world has become today
For in the portraits you reveal a bit more
Of your naked soul for all in full display
And then you hear someone is watching
Studying and unsettling your peace of mind
Regardless of where you go in cyber space
Someone picks up the crumbs you left behind
And so they shadow you, analyzing you
To the point they understand you better
Crafting the perfect lust for your heart
Making your appetite that much whetted
Then you go back right into that blissful cycle
Creating dreams for others to come and stay
All dwelling amongst nuances and innuendoes
While they observe you close but from far away
Yet you’ve always had that effect on people
And now the world wants an intimate look
Contrary to your belief of your privacy
Once lied to then you’re on the hook
Are you savvy to the underlying status quo?
And drawn in by the influences of the day
Or will you eventually evolve into an iconoclast
Awake and aware to keep the wolves at bay
Look at the fundamentals from another angle
And with a new perspective you should dredge
Discovering the reality with complete perception
And the truth will send you over the edge

Cold Sunshine (written by God is in the Rain)

Maybe they wouldn't call me
Old useless man
and they'd Draw me
into Books then
but they'd make a Weapon
and use it to Kill
so i'll rather Struggle
to pay a Bill
to pay a Bill!
-
But war comes
Anyways
guns Shooting
missiles Run with pace
Destruction
even on my Lawn
it's the Future
and it's Coming on
it's Coming on!
          and it's Coming on!

but Today i'm
not holding Back
i'm Putting my bag
onto my Back
i've got Cold sunshine
don'T get me Wrong
maybe i WAS useless
but not for Long
but not for Long!
-
i'm Walking
through trees and Streets
Towards
soldiers And machines
i'm Walking
towards the Crimson dawn
i'm the Future
and i'm Coming on
Coming on !
          and i'm Coming on!

ground Flies
all Around
bombs Fall
with Screaming sound
me and my Sunshine
in my Bag
you shoud've stayed home Boys
now there's no coming Back
no coming Back!
          now there's no coming Back!
-
"hey Old man!
this is War!
your Hands up!"
Bag falls onto floor
and with Something
to Smile upon
Cold fusion
is Coming on
Coming on!
          and Coming on!!
Cold fusion!!!
          is Coming on!!!!

Note: it's inspired by "Gorrilaz - Clint Eastwood", the poem should be exactly 200 words, next time please raise it a bit, tearing down those extra words was /very/ painfull, also, this is entry 1

"Monkey in the Jungle" (by God is in the Rain)

There's a Monkey in the Jungle
With a "secret" to unvail!
She's cought up in a Conflict
with her Brain and with her Tail

There is a Monkey in the Jungle
One of filthy Human kind!
She plots against the Collective
With her filthy Human mind

She is running on the Roof-tops
She is sleeping in the Dark
She is jumping between Neons
With her dreadfull crimson Mark

It's the Time of Elimination
And she has no-thing to lose
There is only one question
What Weapon will she choose?

So she Assults on our people
She is spilling all the Oil
this little Monkey demon
Whose Blood is soon to Boil

She begun her little battle
A war she can not win
A little filthy Monkey
Up at night watching world spin

So we call the Big Bad Birdy
An honored Metal Man
and Once he is after You
Beware my Monkey then!

Jumping on the Neons
With a Red Dot on your Head
One shot and filthy Monkey
You will fall on the street Dead!

Note: inspired by Gorrilaz - 19 2000, 179 words, entry 2.

An unexpected win, thank you ClovenTongue, and congrats to the runner-up audioharleea. I enjoyed being able to express myself more musically in this comp. Of course, great contributions by all.
