This song has had me entranced, from the time I first heard it. I've never experienced physical violence in a relationship, a little bit of verbal maybe and alot of emotional but nothing like this is brought to mind. I was trawling through covers, on soundcloud, when I came across this:

It got me to question the dynamic. Write a poem on the dynamic, as seen by you, of the people in "Florence and the Machine's - Kiss With a Fist".
I'd prefer shorter poems. Two-Hundred words absolute max.

The Thin Line of Passion and Fury
Enthusiasm in the infatuation
Dedication to romance’s obsession
Motivated by devoted wildness
Encouraging wrath, matching madness
An unrestrained fierceness sought
Wounds of indignation matter not
Untamed tempers fuelling craze
Anger erupts, fury set ablaze
Intense passions laced with rage
Sentiments of violence to assuage
Love’s fervour producing excitement
Preferred to alone and discontent
Inspired by “Kiss with a Fist” Competition

Inspired By: Kiss With A Fist
Here I am asking as you slap me senseless...
How could anyone understand the spark that ignites?
That with every blood from a cut when we fight,
A passionate force tells us that it is alright?
Destructive, violent and not a pretty sight
Yet we love to hate with all our might.
You and I, we are two of a kind
To savour suffering is our best bind
So Baby, hit me, kick me, I won't mind
Give me a reason to scratch your hind,
Bite your tongue and render you blind!
Peace disguised in chaos and mayhem.
Why do we find pleasure in every pain?
Both sated with each given stain
Drawn to each other, even in bane
By noxious malice, by blood, by disdain?
Waiting for answers while I bash your toe with a hammer....

There’s rarely a time
When violence can be fun
A kiss with a fist
You could do without
This is meant to be a marriage
Not a fucking boxing bout
A kiss with a fist
Only offered by scum
Run away from the dick
And never succumb

Is never alright
The men that do it
Clearly are shite
A kiss with a fist
You’ll end up black and blue
Two eyes like a panda
Aren’t cute to view

Is a different type of sting
