Twelve steps

poet Anonymous

Poetry Contest

poetry
right,  if you're looking for AA you're in the wrong room.

also it's not really twelve either. it's ten

enough chitter chatter :

g c s k o f n e y a

use the ten letters to form words then make a poem from the words.

( see Devlin's post)

doesn't matter what your poem is about or themed, just don't get pervy

chatter is acceptable, banter is acceptable.

have fun

ten letters

ten words

for ten lines

( so ten lines of ten words using only the ten letters provided )

that said, I'll accept between six and twelve words on some lines )  (( four max))

I hope that's clear enough. but if it's not there's always the option of reading it again

a true grey matter squeezer mate! just one question- any restrictions on repetition of a letter within the word? for example

Sassy? with 3 S's?

poet Anonymous

yeah that's fine, m'man. I have three lines done. I'll finish it in the mornin" ( in theory)

any luck Dri?

poet Anonymous

to be perfectly honest I got a around twenty word poem. I'll fetch it now.

I think maybe the task is a bit much so I'll change it to write a poem using the letters. ...ten word minimum

what do you reckon

I reckon we should give a couple of days more- don't post anything now lets work on it independently as surely there'd be a bit of 'inspiration' taken from the possible words

poet Anonymous

fair enough m'man. I'll keep moterin' on. good stuff, it's tricky enough, and a challenge right enough. so I'll get stuck in

whatever!

as Kay nags Geno’s Fans
Gene’s Cessna gases on a fake sky
gas soaks Enya’s essence;
Sonya’s eco ocean cakes once
Sonny knock’s on nose coke;
yea, yen’s con eggs
yes, Sara’s neck ages
so gone goes Geoff’s case
off of cones`an`canes
socks soak, eyes fog, no offense

apologies, Ari ...
I may have strayed a little from form
it was a challenge,particularly
in using words once!

Great comp tho!

Grand job, lady D

for clarity, you can re- use words if you wish.

I've decided the rules as they stand are a bit too challenging. so I'm going to say:

write a ten line poem using words made from the letters above.

many thanks

A sage one says go easy, can ye see?

Says Sage One -go easy on any fake ones ye see
says no offense no nonsense as fake one cons a fee

a goofy goose a face of fake snacks on Cafe's cake
soon an ace, no fan of fakes says "easy, goofy "

soon a gang goes fancy on Cafe's case of Cognac,
says sage one "OK sons save ye noses ye knees !"

A gang yankee knocks Sage one's face on a Cafe sofa
gone ye con ya ass no safe says sage one ye geese !

no offense? a nonsense, as sage one kocks gang's ass
see ego can knock off a sane, yes anyone, easy!

Canoe on an Ocean

Inspired by the Twelve Steps competition.

An easy fog, con of eyes, cage of a foe
A sea one seeks, canoe on a fen of ago

Scan a scene of eons; on a sea, one sees
A snag of a fyke’s fangs, none can seek ease

A cay on necks of oceans, nags songs of agony
Aeons sang of Enyo, no coyness, asks of a fee

An ego fakes sane, sky soaks a face of one
Once a fane, safe of any, one can ask of none

No cosy Naos, a sense of foe, a sneaky yank
A canoe on an ocean, so easy as one sank
