Poetry Contest

The Cailleach is a central figure of creation and the Earth Realm in old Gaelic culture, but has been lost over centuries of Christianity. The Hag can be seen as many things, so I challenge you to create you own piece about her or her story!
Here are a few links to some myths and such about her, which can hopefully give you a good idea of how she is seen in mythology and modern faith. A quick google such can also suffice, and you can you use whatever spelling of the name you like; there are quite a few because of regional differences. If you decide to write a poem about a specific myth, please cite it's title in your entry!

Feel free to write whatever feels right to you, even if it includes graphic content, but I don't see that being very applicable to this challenge. Although I don't mind if you chose to go with a more prose style, please don't write anything detailing anything that could be considered offensive to those who follow a Gaelic Polytheist faith.

Rith na cnoic chuig - run to the hills!

(also if you speak Irish or Scottish Gaelic sorry if I butchered that, it was kind of  a guess )

Cailleach

In the forest deep
Underneath the shadow
Of a boreal tree
Lives an old banshee
They call Cailleach

An old broken hag
Many fear a witch
In the moon’s light
She becomes a
Seductive wood nymph

Mother of deer
Mistress of the wolf
How many hunters’
Hearts and souls
Have you took?

Beware venturing
Into the woodland thicket
That you not succumb
To the charms of this
Of this shape shifter

She’s really Cailleach
Diabolist cunning and wicked
She’ll steal your soul
Then eat your heart
And you’ll be dissipated

Cauilleach-Oidhche (Crone Of The Night)

In flight, the beckoning arrows
dart forward towards the nub-
lifted, as though terrorised
by the hidden omens of air

talons clasped
in meditative trance
break through the silence
of the grove's soliloquy;
rotation after rotation
skimming the axis
as if meaningful

cloaked with her dark pits,
skins of the Otherworld
birthing the feminine divine
in the hollow of my throat:

my child, my child
these circles upon your eyes
will dissipate with time,
and in forests of your hair
will patience weave a song
only you can deliver
from the womb of your life.

Cailleach-oidhche,
Sacred to the Underworld

The Owl of Moon & Goddess Crone
Appears to skirt the sky alone

To gather spirits dead of night
To rid the evil with its flight
And quell the forest folk of fright.

For Death is starting Life anew,
'Tis not the end as all owls knew.

Cailleach-oidhche, a Wiccan sign
To ev'ry Pagan, owls divine,

Are service in and are in league
In hidden power's psychic creed.

Their stealth to know, initiate
All wisdom, intuit, create,

Not lies, half-tales, but all of truth
To those who honor, old and youth,

By whom the Owl with second sight
Will faithful ferry silent night

The ever dedicated kelm
To live beside the mountain realm

As are descendants of the Crone
While on the Mull she lives alone.
