Bipolar Fashionista

She's always there atop the pedestal
Higher than high, unpredictably vain
and her moods predict her style
She would wear dark heavy cloak
When in grief her tears would soon flow
Be careful when she's angry
Her thunder would shun you
with her boom box in full blast

Other times she's happy
And clad herself with thin cotton and blue
There are times she's feeling bold and would go all nude.
Both times her golden smile would shine and grace you
But at night she would be always glamorous
Either adorn in sequined black velvet
or just plain satiny dark gown
wearing her moony pendant or sometimes without

Indeed she's unpredictable but we look up to her
Her presence so majestic, fixated and conforting
Even when we are alone, we knew that she's there
Never would she leave even until the end of time

Susans Knotted Yarn

Pink ribbons
tied in blue
with sunny disposition
soft with
morning dew

your sudden outbursts
pale in
silver flourish
turn to spit
brought on so dark
accumulates sudden
a cry 'pon
everything
lash out
then bolt
howling again

I've seen Your icy stare
freeze the fallen
encase the stoic
float water like a feather
with instant magic

O but your rainbow smile
you cannot hide
no not long
stretched for miles above
any mud slung yard

As ink lays
spelling Nyx
to your window
I've gazed in heaven
aurora borealis
feeling
the fragility of man

Holding Down The Earth

Azure gasses form
barriers,
pressure, holding
down the Earth,
and I—

We build towers to
touch the heavens, as
if we were gods, entitled
to leave this ground
at will.

What legacy will I
leave,
that day when
I dance
on spires, and
not return?

I will be free from
encasement, flesh
and gravity—

the veils part, a passage
to other dimensions,
home,
and I shall gaze from
the other side, beyond
the mists.

Brother Nyx

Smoke trails whip
smudge to evenings eye
a wish among many, winks
dazzling parlor curtain

sweet song of innocence
swept purple velvet, gone to black
note,
dance legato and roll away ode
we are one, tied, ink ethereal
brushed to my shoulder, your instrument Atlas
coming home

Up where it is

Ever gazing down on  God’s creation
how tired you must be
to watch the antics of man
through countless eons

yet faithful you shield
the puny from destruction
keeping a distance
yet giving eternal warmth

ungrateful those that gaze
and dislike the slate grey
of your hue
or need a shield against the blue.
