Tomorrow is

Love means more than cash
clothes are made by slaves
friends grow over time
war rages even though you know its wrong
the news isn't always true
fear is in the eye of the beholden
love is worth more than gold
youth is trampled
hope never died
tomorrow is
you

I Am Not Your Enemy....
.

Don't ever forget you are loved...
Stop giving a shit because an older generation doesn't like your look..
I am truly sorry my generation..
And my previous generations ...
Fucked up your planet...
Your air..
Your water.
Pumped you full of antibiotics. You get sick due to the fact that your parents molecular mechanisms altered by having a pill to take just to get out of bed.

I apologize for the close minded adults who..
Judge you..scrutinise every move you make...
Just for being who you are ...
I am so sorry my generation...
Would rather you sit on your ass..
Stare at least one electronic device...
And bitch you out at the same time..
For not paying attention.
I understand you have no idea how to communicate socially in our adult society..

Forgive if you have ever been taught to.
Wasting your time with anger, diminishes your ability to remember who you are.

Be kind ..not as a reflection of the disgraceful characters that treat you less than human. But, as a reflection of your character.

There is no excuse for the previous and current generations debt.. that your generation will get stuck with..
Especially when you get to be old..
I hope someone will share with you compassion...

Please try to learn empathy for previous generations whom currently give you none..

You are smarter, faster, 10 times more adaptable...
Than any previous generation.....
Educate yourselves with the oldest literature to the newest digital capabilities ..
Any generation that came before you ...
They couldn't have understood what it is to be a child..
Teenager or young adult in your generation ....
Never before would they have had an open conversation about..
Gender Identity ..
Hell they wouldn't have comprehended those two words put together...
Never before would an open discussion about..
A Rape of a boy, teenage boys, or young men would've NEVER been a conversation ..
Your own livelihoods are dependent upon..whether or not you learn to..
Hug.. Hold a Hand..Smile because you want to..
To never forget physical touch is natural .. not a given demand
The drugs and alcohol of your youth....
Scares the shit out my generation ...

Your generation is exposed to chemicals approved by our government  ie. little pharmaceutical company called Upjohn in Michigan , Whose actually owned by Pfizer
Who technically is owned by. Johnson&Johnson..
Allowed a synthetic drug called..PINK to be released on your friends via internet.
You see..U4700 was created by chemists  who  wanted a stronger Opiate.

You see an elusive fact in my generation and those before me.
Synthetic designer drugs are your generations normal.
We don't understand how accessible anything is to you and the Millennials online.
Pink..
It is 10 x stronger than heroin,
10x stronger than meth.
7.5x stronger than Morphine
Yet Adults sit back and pick your generation apart.
"Your lazy ,No respect for authority, You have blue hair, piercings of variations most adults could not fathom, gadges, tattoos sleeved, neck, full chest, male and female.

Not every adult is your enemy.
If you can find an adult with an open mind.
You see, most adults need to be educated
in your society's expectations for your future generations.
You are the reason I am not afraid of my future  .
I believe in you.

Oh, Trish, my dear beautiful soul...your words brought tears to my eyes.  There is truth and pain in every word you've spread here.  Thank you so much for taking part in my hope to send powerful messages to our youth.

Throne

Throne

I've been living in the bottom
From autumn to spring back again
With broken heart and nothing to lose

With me dwelling in Sodom
destruction is unavoidable

There and always a tightening noose

but within a spark
A tiny flame
Is signaling
To my brain

And suddenly feel my throne calling me
My legacy is all i see
Lifting myself off the ground
levitation , not human being

Im rising to the surface brush my tears off
im not worthless
There were voices in my head
But th were wrong and
And they can't hurt this

I am powerful
Unstoppable
Invincible
impossible
All of this no longer drone
And now i know i've earned my throne.

Thank you all so very much for bringing such amazing writes and words to the table in my Empowerment plea.  This was not an easy comp to judge on and I had to seek outside help in my final determination.  Each entry had its own powerful message and was entirely unique.  No two messages the same!  This is exactly what I was hoping for and also what made it so dang difficult to choose a winner.  A few thoughts and thanks...

Lyrical_Aptitude - your entry drove every word home in perfect precision and well thought out message.  I inhale each time I read it and forget to exhale until the end.  Amazing!

Trish - you took my breath away with the passion in your words and I felt every one of them stronger with each line.  You brought exactly what I was looking for in message and passion.  Beautiful!

wallyroo92 - I loved the message you brought and how carefully you laid it out.  Your message is applicable to young and old alike, I think.  And that is a powerful message!

poetryaccident - your message made me stop and think and really pore over your words.  Well done!

OxyMoronicMe - your message was short and very strong.  Yet again, another message that can cross age lines and apply to all.  Love it!

eswaller - your message is one of hope and clear compassion.  Anyone who reads and heeds it will be well served in doing so.  Thank you for bringing it to this forum!

UnknownEmo - I love the analogy to butterflies, on so many levels.  Butterflies can't see themselves so they don't know how beautiful they are...but everyone else can.  It's a strong message you've shared!

jaykay - I love that you acknowledge where the world has come but still remind the youth that they are the future.  They are our hope!

drone - you are correct in stating that nothing will change unless we change it...all of us, not just the youth.  Short but very strong!

RISE - your message brings hope from your own positive outcome.  If you can do it, so can they.  Great message!

Again, many thanks to each and every entry.  They're all winners for me!
