Pluie
Rivers swell
turned dark in deluge
fed by flow from countless vein
lain low travels stratus
pressed like heavens lip
to every pore, every kiss embodied
the pace of pause accentuated
on every eye
found to creature
this, a dream of man
swallowed
by the desert
Rivers swell
turned dark in deluge
fed by flow from countless vein
lain low travels stratus
pressed like heavens lip
to every pore, every kiss embodied
the pace of pause accentuated
on every eye
found to creature
this, a dream of man
swallowed
by the desert

Breathe Again
When I see clouds in the horizon,
I get excited,
The rain is coming to satiate the thirsty earth,
To water the soil that gives birth to new things,
To wash away what men have polluted,
And cleanse the air that’s been ruined,
To give us hope during the winter months
Before spring springs.
I become encouraged,
Seeing what the drought dried out is coming back to life,
Seeing snow on the mountain peaks,
Seeing water on the river flow once again,
I feel as if things are going to be ok,
Mother earth still lets us be her guests,
As long as we respect her, she’ll be our friend.
Everything looks beautiful,
The mountain pass is white after the storm,
The hills are green as are the farms,
The scene is clean, the air is crisp and clear,
I can see again,
And when more rain pours,
I thank the Lord,
This will fill the lakes and dams for us to drink,
We needed the rain to bathe us all,
I will breathe again.

Rain wash and sun burn
In the forest rain hits tree tops
it runs down the trunk
feeding the roots of us all
falling down soaking earth
drink it up before the sun
which burns the skin to a crisp
do we need the rain
like we need the sun

Raindrops never judge
Tap upon the pane
Silent here reflecting
Listen…….touch the rain
The moonlight disappears
Staccato kiss of rain
Glass cool upon the skin
Lips pressed upon the pane
Clouds are rolling silent
But etched upon the pane
Is the breath of ghosts
Whispering to the rain
Osculated upon cold glass
Distorted in the rain
Cool kisses in the silence
Pressed against the pane
Rivulets like silent tears
Trace journeys on the pane
Violent here dissecting
Glisten…….touch the rain
Tap upon the pane
Silent here reflecting
Listen…….touch the rain
The moonlight disappears
Staccato kiss of rain
Glass cool upon the skin
Lips pressed upon the pane
Clouds are rolling silent
But etched upon the pane
Is the breath of ghosts
Whispering to the rain
Osculated upon cold glass
Distorted in the rain
Cool kisses in the silence
Pressed against the pane
Rivulets like silent tears
Trace journeys on the pane
Violent here dissecting
Glisten…….touch the rain
