anger and frustration
A Rant
every words in the alphabet
remind me of you
all the hues of everyday
shines with your name
and I hate it
I wish I could obliterate you
from the library of my mind
or scrub the paints on the wall
where your name is graffiti
I wish I could shoot you down
and disperse your dusts
on the indifferent air
forever lost and forgotten
you reached out and I held
your hands with gentle hope
my visions of happiness
alive in my eyes
you ended what you started
cutting away the cords
throwing away the keys
what you started you ended
I wish I could stamp you down
ground you with my heels
into the soft sand
where you can fertilise the flowers
but not yet.

What I liked about this is I share a lot of the same views. Some people seem to not understand why others are being hatful. It's not being hateful as it's being fearful of a failing system.
You win because this is a powerful poem on so many levels.

This was one that reminded me of betrayal I been through, and the anger I felt. Such a great read!

It's an honor to be chosen winner, especially when so many very well written expressions of anger and frustration were posted!
DC, I have had several people accuse me of hatred because I express anger about racism and other forms of hate. But anger is a reaction, not an instigating action. The voice of descent does not make hate, it stands against it. That those who feel hated or offended by my words is exactly why I am frustrated. Rather than admit to the monster within, they fling accusations and live in denial of weeds in their garden...
The world is vomiting hatred like an ancient volcano and choking whatever the weeds could not reach. I hope that at least here in America, on our day of Thanksgiving tomorrow, all of us can let go of our anger and frustration at each other!
I am feeling very happy in this moment which I hope will linger for some time!
