Sage Vision
taking in all that has unfolded
from now until the beginning of time
is a great and unblinking eye
it's sage and very ancient
recording all that we do here on Earth
not leaving us to our own devices
it sends coded messages
to Guardian Angels
intervening on our behalf
this great eye is wise
all knowing it has seen everything
recording and taking us in
each triumph and failure
of human nature
is seen by this sentient being
we are lovingly watched over
caught when falling
though space and time
by this unblinking eye
taking in all that has unfolded
from now until the beginning of time

The eye in the sky gazes over at mine
to ask if I see it gazing into my mind
I see it, now free it
erupt and explode
into a billion fragments of being
and create something beautiful,
something hideous
-something worth seeing
to ask if I see it gazing into my mind
I see it, now free it
erupt and explode
into a billion fragments of being
and create something beautiful,
something hideous
-something worth seeing

Vietnam War, ended,
while "Spirograph" designs bloomed
gardens from my pen.
Napalm scent lingered,
but Mattel ruled the world in
my eight year old eyes.

seems rather like
a ball of knitting
inside a washing
machine, although
I dare say the truth
will unravel in
time...

Atomic Eternal
There's a universe within
every atom a miniature portrait
of the cosmos
a sacred geometry encoded
mystery etched into spinning stardust
vibrating on a miracle frequency
energy transformed since creation
veins within the flower of life
what is made is composed of the finished product
leaving us endlessly changing
yet ever perfect

The eternal eye is watching
Everyone through time and space,
Be we countless as sands on shore;
If that's his eye, how great his face!

If that's his eye, how great his face!

sure
the next planet over gets a Horton
but who will step up for us
will our existence be a short one
and if that be our fate
like not being able to yawn and sneeze
then let our journey into this good night be quick
for all that is sacred, pull the plug, please

Planet of blue
Swirling in a pattern
Its pieces slowly scatter
Joining the magnetic dark matter
Not first
Not last
Not slow
Not fast
It's siblings follow
Centers stay hollow
Black holes wallow
Welcoming their new friends
For this is where the beginning ends
They whisper eagerly into empty ears
Singing songs that have been forgotten for years
As the glow fades into starlight's kisses
The planets continue to break into pieces
(I don't know)
