Corners
fold in different
shapes
those that stir
some
say oragami
we just pinch them
again
and
again
changing perspective

the mindset of the narrow minded
on one small tunnel
from here to eternity
never meandering away

I watched her
clean after strangers

but if we want to change

Long ago and far away

Valleys
full of magic
wander through
rolling villages
that spread betwixt tree and sky.
And I smile
breathing it in.

there was a ring of toadstool
under the oak tree
and posies too
just growing wild
like days gone by

Rolling hills
Right to the craggy drop off
Where Vicente dropped to one knee
And died
Leaving  us in awe

they looked for mushrooms
under the trees where the mist
had rested well
they would make soup
with their find

They would never admit
being inferior mycologists
Until the trees tied them up as the mountain asked questions
Softly giggling

How ironic it would be
If they ate their harvest
And later have stomach ache
Making them wish for bathrooms
