the taste of his lips
lingered in her mouth
sending incessant message
to her brain
he loves me...

but he was always offline
after that
and soon she was unsure about
her feelings

it was like a word quiz
to her ...no yes no yes...
like semaphores.

dawn light
flirt through the
green shrub
to languish
the petals
blushed
in yellow

then she
lift her face
searching him
below the
greenery

when
she met
his gaze
shining
brightly

she lift
her head
to flaunt
the bees
and the
butterflies

I used to have a sundial, but I was late to all my important meetings.
The excitement that it created in the community was palpable.
So, next time you have the hunger to be on time,
buy a windup watch, but don't forget to wind it up
or it will create the same tardiness troubles.
One thing is for sure & you can count on it,
no matter how late you are,
the sun will still rise.

being
useless
as a sundial
in the night

except for the
fullmoon with
no clouds

only the
hunger for an
excitement

keeping it
going...

i was late

cupcake, bacon, nostalgic

morning  with a
smell of bacon

evening tea with
a soft cupcake

nights with you
inside the sheets

now the days with
just the nostalgic
memories

Not much of a love poem

sometimes
I find there's nothing pure
about my heart

not no more
not for a long time
not since all the other times

but other times I find
it beats like a Brazil drum
carnival time

(insert boom boom bum)

___                        ==                  ___

crawled out from under a rock
and turned the radio on

some guy sang

"what's done is done
 what's won is won
 and what's lost
  is lost forever"

I listened to his song
and hoped he was mistaken

then thought
therein lies the question

-lyrics from The town I loved so well sung by Paddy Reilly ...a real tear jerker

I could have loved a pint of bitter
and maybe a finger or two of
something on the rock
but I really don't want a repeat
of falling on my face
and spewing against the wind
out the car window
temperance is a bitch though

such behaviour can be toxic
to reputations, especially at my age
doing it in private may be better
although the toilet bow is hardly attractive

I often see the colour of the wind
during such adventures...
I wonder if I ever will again
Abstinence is a bitch.

laundering, mitigating, granted

before
the election
they spoke about
mitigating money laundering
but,
taking for granted they misuse
the power to accelerate
the process and
fill their guts
with rot

there was the smell of sulphur in the air
some one had left their guts in the pit
crying it out for the one they loved

the milk white sky was scary
many people looked up thinking
they looked rather fleecy
some thought it looked threatening

some clouds looked like ancient
shipwreck on top of a stormy sea.

They are called Markers
for they will make their mark
on each of the enemy's cheek
neat and clean

the last anyone saw them
was after the genocide
riding with dozen barrels
filled with gold

since the doldrums
in these lands
kept the peace

yet no prosperity
only the poverty

once they boasted an unsurpassed intimacy
as much as two people can achieve
jealousy reared its ugly head however
and soon one of them went on a rampage
because of perceived hurt
one of them died
and the other realised his folly
he soon plunged into extreme  melancholy
and died.

undisputedly
mocking the
blunderbuss of a
mindless leader's
moonshine
or,
was it the
Matriarch's time
that slipped
through the
blunder?

the sign said slipknot
but it didn't seem likely anyway
because carpet,  isn't historically
like that

and just like that
a moan
became a groan moan:
all mature and shit
but,  a moan nonetheless
on the face of it

and let's face it
any entreaty to entreat me
to tweet thee... wait

I see your coltish darts
for the door ..i'll say no more

staring at the horizon
I wondered
will the sun see me?
me sitting here
in the vestibule
with my tea cup
I crinkled my eyes
for the sudden ray
hit the eyeball
piercing the red cloud

I felt as
the sun said yes...

it
encroached
penetrating the
sarcastic   smiles,
deep into the pumps
poisoning the tank
and bled out with
an ineffable
pain
