Everything was better
with chemicals
said the sign
going in.
It was a Sunday
we had all stood outside
sharing punch.
Soon we would glorify
HIS name
Jim

the rituals were signs of reverence
for the dead, although he couldn't understand
why his old mean uncle was being revered
as he was a regular weasel
stole and lied all his life

his stall was usually the victim
of his uncle's activities
borrowing and stealing
taking and snatching

now the old man looked like
a porcupine without the quills
rather wrinkled and bare
sunk between satin folds.

its pain,  its a reason above all reasons
what makes you that one, in
freeform
and righteous anger

their golden roots of melancholy
runs deep in silence
in no diversions

brassy grasslands of noisy loitering
in razor tongues and language of lies
never could imagine their depths..

buds of bronze their trees of truth hold
could sense well at ease, no mean discovery,
these ill-fibrous Tughlaq-ian clones
between their frivolous li(n)es
pillared like Eiffel-tall Rafflesias
in desperate swindling hunts
despite their basally set-in
systemic gangrene

Pain
who knew it better
than she
losing both son and husband
on a senseless accident
avoiding a wildlife
going for a wild spin
ending up in the ravine

create something out of this
keening wail of grieve
a look into the tunnel
of time
just hours ago
when both were smiling
looking forward to the fair.

his talent is one
that taxes my emotions
like a gale force wind
he stirs
then flattens

Such childish games
were played
there were no lessons learned
Only...
that a wanker remains such
and wise ones
carry on
having become
better equipped to smell
lies
more than a mile away.

Hammer of the gods
he screamed holding up
the puny hammer
and hit the nail
on the old tree
he jotted his thoughts
in the diary
that he kept in his tool box
One more nail
hammered in

the dalliance
led to his gradual
fall into his own abyss

For once
she decided to be spontaneous
and wore a brief frilly dress
but after the party
with larkin' about
it looked such a mess
and caused her much grief.

madly in repeat constructs
of hanging geodesic bridges
inked in whatever paper
handed over
perhaps felt like felt abstractions
some poetry falling in line
no dissections
but, [not] amazing, never
smelt like timed and minded
alloyed or woodwork ploys

The lantern swung by the gentle breeze
lighting the room with a soft glow.
She had felt the solitude of night:
the call of home-spun love.
It was his mercurial, indifference
that made the air seem somewhat stagnant

They called her Joy
a nice name for a cute baby
what happened during her adolescent
years wasn't known
but she became a serial killer
calling herself Kangaroo

a feeling of unease filled her mind
before going on a hunt one day
the foreboding should have been heeded
she picked an undercover cop
posing as a whore
to kill that day and was apprehended.

he took a friendly jab
at the hornet's nest
which did not endeared him
to the swarm

he ran away and pinched a tuba
from a marching band
putting it over his head for
protection

that landed him in a cell
for a couple of days
the marching band
was practicing for
the  coronation.

Monster, Magical, Mimic

i
could move to mimic my own monster:
perch upon the shoulder of something old
then lay larvae into it's open wounds

ii

it's only in darkness
your words form stalactites
in the light, they're nothing but puddles

iii

first question
could have been magical youth
the others
seemed sheer mockery

so let it be

He wore his glasses
cos that made him look learned
peering over the rim
he thought he looked grim
like a professor

his  barometer for success
was his car, very upscale
he could almost emulate batman's mobile
but he didn't have a sou in his pocket

so he  scaled the Everest
with a Sherpa
treating the guy like a servant
but the man was no butler
and left him to shiver
in freeze.
