A Deep Underground Christmas

poet Anonymous

Poetry Contest

What have you left another DU member under the Christmas tree?
It's a month today until Christmas Day... so here's a competition to celebrate! 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄

It's Christmas morning! You've left a present for another DU member under the tree... What did you get them? How did they react? How did you hope they would react?! Perhaps it's not a nice present... It's up to you...

I'm looking for fun. I'm looking for whimsy. I'm looking for humour.

Rules

* Please mention the DU member you are writing about
* Titles preferred on your entries
* No Collabs
* Maximum of 2 entries each

Merry Christmas... Watch out for mistletoe...

The Virtue of Selfishness: A New Concept of Egoism

I wouldn't wrap it
wouldn't bother
I'd pop it in a brown paper bag
and
use Magic Marker
on the outside

It's not some kind of hard
and raw
like most would
expect
but I'd bet a frisbee
that he ain't
the type of
lad who appreciates
red ribbon
and gold embossed
reindeer

So my note
would be as tight as the book

"Dear Craic
This is a little Ayn Rand
I think you'd
like to read
Have a whiskey on me
Love @ You
Fair Play
Al"

P.S. I can't make the image stick here in the forums.....

Christ on a bike, you wrote that at the speed of light (... FYI that wasn't supposed to rhyme...)

Thanks for the entry, exactly what I was looking for 👍🏻

The  Madame Santa List

A gift for Grace,
a can of mace,
for when she bans the trolls;
and then for Craic,
pot-brownie cake—
he likes a tad, I’m told.

For Mr. Case,
a brand new face—
his avatar’s all stretched out;
for Toni Scales
some coffin nails—
that girl embalms—look out!

Now Lord Viddax
will get Tampax
to mop up the blood-bath threads;
for Bo Fantastic,
his favorite plastic
sex toy dildo-heads.

Then there’s Missy—
hmm, something glitzy;
perhaps a sequined drum.
For LobodeSanPedro,
refrigerator art-deco,
“Magnetic Poetry” boxed fun.

Finally, for Hades
and all his dark ladies—
slasher movies are fine;
That’s all for this list,
send Madame your wish—
you’re next up, get in line.

The Second Needs Thought

Dripping moist, full bloom
wide faced; twelve
bright luminous yellow
Sun Flowers, lie covered
gently, by a family of
purple, pink and pastel blue
Cosmos

Wrapped tightly in
Sage Green and Black
Cellophane; dripping
misty droplets

They lie gently on a
lonely
granite
rock
on a peak
at the top; of Kilimanjaro

She probably wouldn't
climb there
But that's just
oh-so-okay
A gift of thought
for this special soul
needs to be
Stuck-In-A-
Hard-
Place.

Christmas gifts

Christmas is a time to give
gifts to family and friends
spreading joy and happiness

in DU my mind and heart's home
the Christmas tree is surrounded
with good wishes in coloured wrappers

for Mlavender good wishes
with a bouquet of lilac
for Viddax a new mask

for lobo music and songs
and Vic scents of home
and more wine for the Craig

bootles of wine
beer by the barrels
fowls and boar roasted and ready

21 thousand people may not all come
only those that care will
But enough to celebrate DUs party

And for you comp host
a year of good wishes
health and prosperity.

How about a real poem, now--I know you have it in you; I've seen what you can do when you set your mind to it.

I leave Blocat a hillbilly Rhyme in the stylin of his.. In grateful return for all of his he sends me for pure devlish grins and giggles..our trade of words..Bloke for Hick..kitty kat..you give me such a kick..have made my entire year Merrier..I love and adore you. Merry Christmas....💋

A silly ol' cum kind Hillbilly squaw loves her camel tooo much rhyme...or Mrs.Malaprop's words go terribly wrong!

The squaw that stroked the camel's sack had finally dun herself in.
She looked into the eyes of the beast,
and became powerful frightened of his wicked grin!
Oh Holy Moly! how that one stroke too far had engorged his needed hump....
She saw her touch had unleashed a devlish urge and swallowed hard with a lump..
Swollen from lust..
And in need of a thrust...
He pawed his hooves at the ground..
Never in her short sqaw life had she heard anything snortin such a hellacious sound!
Then she saw the enormous size
of the thing she had rized..
And the camal hocked a big ol spit..
The sweet lil thang Cherokee hollered, and her mocassins took her off lickety split..
He came chargin right behind her, bound and determined, nostrils round n aflared..
Man! You should have seen that purty lil squaw runnin n squeelin, by gawd she was ascared!!!

For my Kitty Kat and favorite grinnin bloke..blocat..love you for your efforts at makin me giggle. Eternal luvs and hugz!

Awarding the win to Al, because I thought they were both very whole hearted submissions. Well done!

The runners up go to Madame Lavender and Grace, they were both lovely entries.

Thank you to all that submitted. Merry Christmas!
