What kind of monster are you?
Kaiju, the Japanese word for strange creature. Like Godzilla or King Kong. I want you to write me a poem from the Kaiju's POV. You are in a strange city with scurrying little insects all around. Are you scared? Are you pissed? Would save the city from a threat or help lay it to waste? It's up to your imagination.

Some cold blooded Monsters have Reasons

On my planet they understood mih plight...
That to just live was a fight.
They simply left mih alone..
And yes, there it felt like a home.
But here! The thought of interaction makes me quiver..
That to survive, i gots to stick to mih little tiny part of this wretched river...
Though i can breathe in this foul oxygenated air..
And do..
Long enough to sit out on a rock, and  strum out a melody,
Or two..
On mih banjo,  mih only found real joy on this cursed pangea..
The colors are foreign, the native fish occasionally give me diarrhea...
That is hazardous, you see i have to be oh so abstemious...
I am amphibious...
Wear a paten on mih head that must be kept filled..
Oh! the exsiccating reprocutions if too much were spilled!!!
I would wither and dry in excruciating agony...
But humans here have no compassion, mih story told so nephariously..

See i once had to defend mih plated head that a pretty little gal tried to sip from..
I understood her unquenched thirst..
But not enough to just give her some...
Besisides! I was lost in song and quite shocked...
Grabbed her tight by her long dark silken locks...
And burried her deep in a watery grave, her casket?
A sack filled with rocks.
Made out of her very own frock.

Now my existence much harder,  with these damned signs all around...
Watch out for the Kappa children...
Wade to far in you will be drowned!!

Don't understand the title. Does it mean 'Saviour or Destroyer'?

Thats up to the readers interpretation..the Kappa does its what it has to do to survive...
Has been its own Savior...by saving itself from dry death..but its destroyer...by creating fear from others and its own miserable isolation.
Cold blooded has double meaning here..i relate to the Kappa inside me.

If you are a monster who stumbles onto  city, will you choose to lay waste to that city or will you choose to save it from another threat?

Destroyer....to have environment for self. The Kappa is amphibious and an asian mythological creature. The plate on its head must remain full or it dies. It is intelligent..believed to be a transplanted extra terrestrial....with a beak and vocabulary..and warms on rocks playing an instrument. Very territorial,  may not have taken a city..but has taken its place in the water and will drown anyone who encroaches on its environment. So it is a destroyer....out of necessity...thus title. It has its reason to be a monster. Some believe in its existence....there are actual signs up...warning in certain river areas..

And legends of lost children....

A monster's conversation with her mind

Leave me alone,
is all I ask.
Let me be in peace, not a favour
not a task

I came to seek a friend
To be the friend "in need", indeed
but all of my dears have abandoned me
All I can be with is this vile fiend

I seek solace but I see nothing but symphony
Symphony of the evils orchestrating a plan
the vice that lay in my head has risen inside
and to the world my innocence in futile

It wasn't my fault. I am not like this
I dont connive, I dont plot or make plans that twist
I am simple. My needs are simple
I needed someone to talk to

And not be misinterpreted like now people do
I may not be the smoothest talker
I may not be the best looking girl

But I am sure as hell not a stalker
So let me alone. Evil mind
Let me have some friends that I can call mine.
Let me have some peace of mind
