paranoid

not there, not where I left it –
blank box, empty lies

I swear, that’s where I had it
cable trails and dust tracks

inside treacherous walls
beneath deafening eyes

"Fireflies"

dry burning patch

a clean sweeping fire
flaming allover

sparks crackled
cracking darkness

the fireflies

with an earthly longing smell
over clumping phase

such 'links':
from a marshy clumpsy dot
to some decisive shapings
laughed out
with sly veins
of their lurking
midnight-bluish complacence
whilst cliffs were hung finger-held
facing silhouetted twilight hillocks:
the once lighted
sky-lined green pastures

still largely unbelieving
the set-up gallows
within,  around

with a greedy glint
painted as hope

no sooner
the intensifying distant sun
birthed more nascent
noon-moon glowworms
that stared
unbelongingly synthetic
pitted against the randomly
blooming bigger background:
the skies
with creative agendas

an illusiont's handwork
as it posed
to its petty grappling mind

the becoming morph
blown off midway
as
dreamy fluffy nothings

pretty acyclic

nirvana

>>>>>>>escape>>>>>>>>

My mind wanders unyet my body remains frozen,
Encapsulated in flesh,
I am nothing but a simple painting waiting for life's decay whilst witnessing all around me,
O how I wish I could escape from my carcass prison and once more walk upon the gardens on the morrow,
O once more I'd like to escape from flesh and bone and become immortally encased in gold and silver,
Build me a statue o masters of fire and crafts,
Build me a statue so my family can see me never rotting but always smiling,
Escape this world I beg of you,
Escape it and live free once more,
Fly my spirit,
Fly into the heavens and leave this rotting piece of wasted animal to become the earth and soil.

The shadows are creeping in and I can't tell if it's because of karma or my Christian sins.... This life is enough to make your head spin. It seems like no matter how hard I go I can't get a win... I need a guardian in these damn cold shadows... All I know is who ever it is living in the place darkness lives in.. Dont you know you reap what you sow and if all you know is hurt then all you reap is paranoia...

CONFUSED EMOTIONS

Time is irrelevant
Or so I like to think
My hands tell a different story
as does my neck
The moments, seconds, minutes
hours and days
The way I age
Remind me my life is finite
It could end any day

There are things I want
Things to do
Needs to experience without delay
No time to take time
Just to sit and play

We met, I wanted you
Impatient to wait
Said what I thought without delay
Not being your cup of tea
made me put my behaviour
under display

What I saw were confused emotions
fused with impatience
An inability to let things grow
My need was to have you now
because time was of the essence
Life being finite caused me
to act like an adolescent

Now you are gone
I'm alone, feeling lonely
But seeds have been sown
For change, for opportunities
This time I'll wait with patience
with perseverance
And cultivate my inner garden
Till my harvest is nigh

Aversion

there are times when
the very thought
of skin touching
skin
is abhorrent
and i can’t make myself
touch you
or them

i want to curl up
a tiny ball
shrink into the
mattress and
forget the
flesh crawling memories

but i can’t forget
(thankfully you understand)

so we trip and try
and stumble
over and over
to make sure
that i can at
the very least
function

shade of a voiceless echo

I'm breaking laws without ever caring enough,
what is the system to a boulevard? Corrupted.
I took to the streets to protest my demise,
all I got was two clubs to my face that night.
Rocks thrown at windows, I was the enemy,
but who the hell can ever understand my point?
I am the victim to your egotistic rules
that demand from me nothing more than submission.
Let's face it, I would use a two twenty two's
in the name of peace, twenty four hours later
comes the next forty eight, now I'm alive and dead
at the same time. Lucky me. Voiceless. My beloved hell.

Um my random poem was by you?

You didn't want much

A word is such a simple thing
So soft and sweet
So hard and unyielding
So cruel and vicious
You said love
And I fell for it
You said stay and I did
Put me on my best behavior
Acting strange
I gave you too much
You didn't want much
You wanted everything
And you took it

Thanks so much for the win . The title, when it appeared was so very appropriate for me. Congrats to Caxton and Minerva and to all who entered.  Am sure you enjoyed the writing of your poem as much as I did mine.
