bleed your sins unto my hands
so I can smear my face with them
contrition be damned:
there are no innocents here
not in this place

Spasm

palms wring blood
from smoking eyes red horse flies rise
hairy with ill ticks
burning clock sweats bullets
Sharp, dark tic on cavernous face
bit lip horror
chase breath to death.

Cut from the wreckage

The anniversary looms
The day that taught me
Anything can happen

When I got in the car
And woke up changed
Forever

Days away from my annual meltdow
Remembering
Trembling

backpack

blood trickled from the porcelain doll's eyes
the glass case broken around her
reflects the passive sun

Boy Scout trick
fire without the match

the devil said one word before

boom!

Apathy

Palm strokes own neck
Pensively,
Testing resistance,
Tempting elasticity
Of skin.
Now push.
A tug of war
Etched deep inside…
Those late night thoughts.

Sweat and Smoke

Your heat makes me sweat
The smoke from the fire I set
Was me trying to save you.

With my sweat I will cleanse your bones
Your charred and blackened bones

Smoking Sweaty

I got sweaty at the gym today
In order for me to get fit
I finished my second pack of cigarettes
All my efforts just went to shit

Morphine

There's a dull ache
throbbing
sharp stabbing pain
piercing
my face swollen
jaw bone in agony
excruciating
overwhelmed with toothache
dentist a day away
morphine I love you

Snow and rain
its all the same
like war and peace
the ground swells with blood soaked tears
freedom to choose
coke or Pepsi
its all the same
in this world run on greed
ruled by corporate democracy

Firefighters of 9/11

[center]Under Devil's cloak of smoke
Ash white faces appear
streak with tears
Stairwells spiral down into madness
Hearts sweat grief
fiercely in final fight
Over three hundred storm gates of hell

[Cremation]

memories remain
like raining ash
that clings to rose-tinted glasses
obfuscating nostalgic embers
with the grimey shadow of hindsight
whilst a remaining spark
is snuffed
exiled to nihility

Baby Jar

I leave
my feet go heavily
breath transformed
into the most pallid
of miracles

I enter the room
some hours later
you are fermenting
caving in
giant fig overripe
with sadness
