wow. just wow.
The Young Junkie
The young junkie lies in a dark room
Satisfied by his perfectly crafted high.
He believes he will always feel this way.
He looks over at his girlfriend sleeping next to him
And thinks about the troubled life she has lived,
About how much better she could do then him.
She wakes up and gazes into his eyes.
He sees nothing left and moves on.
“More?” He asks her. “Yes” she says.
He blacks out the blinds with dirty blankets
And pulls out the syringes and burnt spoons.
She shoots him up and says she loves him.
Then the high is too much and he fades away.
After a quick reenactment of the ritual, she joins him.
Then they are both gone into nothingness, sweet nothingness.

My brothers and sisters of the ink, you all have really outdid yourselves in this comp. Thank you from the bottom of my blackened heart for joining me on this journey through love and tragedy. That being said you guys and gals have made this extremely difficult to judge, so I'll take a few days. Hang in there.

Outstanding, everyone, simply outstanding. The burden lies upon the host to choose and so I have, but I can't state enough that this comp ran so close that it was nearly an impossible task. Thank you, everyone, for participating and sharing with me.
