Typically, in these types of contests, you can submit as many entries as you can come up with so long as they actually fit the theme of the contest itself. Some contests will say, for instance, "No more than 1 entry per poet!" or sometimes two entries, but these ones usually only have as the rule that all entries must suit the theme as laid down in the contest author's first post.

An Affair with Persephone

My Goddess is beautiful
Her skin is like bronze.
Her eyes are like the most fathomless pools,
Burning sapphires in the night.
Her lips, full and dark, call to me as the sea to posidon
Her hair is thick and black as night
Tumbling down her back like an endless waterfall

My Goddess is delightful
When she laughs in the faces of her adversaries
Her eyes glint like violet steel
When she bathes in the tears of their wives and children she glows with the innocent joy of a child
Its then when she bids me to come to her

My Goddess is full of passion
When we come together as one she rides my face like a ship at sea
Rocking back and forth, guiding my tongue
Filling my mouth with her essence,
The taste of her intoxicates me

My Goddess she is cunning
She and I have a plan
A plan to rule our underworld.
Hades is a fool
He has grown weak with age.

My Goddess and I will overthrow him.
Trap him like his father, Kronos
We will cut him like a sacrificial lamb and revel in his immortal blood
And scatter the pieces in the depths of tartarus
Then we shall rule the dead with an iron fist.

My Goddess is my sweet temptress
My mistress of the night
My muse
My lady
My lover

My Godess is, and always will be
My queen

Oh, I love that poem! You've penned it gloriously indeed. It reminds me of one I wrote called "In Pursuit of Persephone" which has a similar theme and dark vibe going on in it. Your entry is quite a worthy addition to the contest. Very happy you decided to share it with DUP!
