What Defines Success?
Success is the feeling that you finally won
Or done something right in the world
You made a change
Wether it was in yourself or someone else
Success is smiling when you feel like dying
Not bringing anyone down
Being yourself when everyone is acting differently
Not judging by the covers of the others
Success is living the life you want
Despite all odds and what was taught
It's sticking it to the man
Completing all your plans

Not having anything that I hate facing me in the near future.
Not being thrown into the looney bin...
No no, more realistically (but based on the above!): Sure success can be defined usually by the attainment of riches (and if that attainment was done with step-by-step honest effort, producing much good and productive influence unto humanity, then there'd be nothing wrong with that), where riches can give you the leisure time to ponder and experience all the curious intricacies of the world, and not have to go without nourishment and basic comforts, or face the exhaustive perils of the daily workplaces, etc. But I think success is found more in the freedom of your mind to think clearly and quietly. If you have the freedom to think with your own mind, you can be empalaced upon infinite landscape with limitless safety and ability, in any condition or situation. And then, the ability of that, to spread to all those around you.

To give to another many smiles,
And help lift their heavy steps
Through the longest lonely miles...

what do i think of success?
i never had it so i must guess
what its like to be published?
if i was a success id be the king of business, aint no unless
every night i'll party to the sound of sachmo's trumpet
while jay z says how much he loves it
id make you posers covet every time i smoke gold nuggets just for fun... shit,
everyday would feel like xmas when i make my bitch undress out of her sundress
every night when i gamble rough bets whether or not the country gonna recede like please who really runs shit?
when i play i play for keeps
but im a success so damn well you know that ima cheat
i'll steal the winnings when you sleep
then walk around the next day like look who the fuck i beat
and your ass do not make a peep
this is what it means to be a success, well shit for me at least

Well, I used to break dance every day. And I set a goal to do 50 flares in a row. The most I ever did was about 21 and it took so much out of me, I felt so fucking exhausted after doing them, so I always did them last in my break dance power routine. So one day, I went for it. I took in one breath of air, and busted out 51 FLARES in a row, nearly passed out as I exhaled. Yes, it was a success, I exceeded my expectations but I nearly passed out in a coma. The physical exertion made me aching sore for several days, and I never wanted to do that many flares again. Success is taking the challenge in an opportunity and exceeding any expectations. Success comes with bonus gifts and knowledge. But you have to challenge yourself to gain those virtues and gifts. Thank you.

Can success really be measured
by the time spent on a journey
and how we get there at any cost?
Does it count at all
no matter how noble or wicked
our intentions maybe?
How do we measure success?
Some may measure it by fame
while others gauge it by fortune;
in this world with various standards,
neither a yardstick nor a barometer
can really measure fame and fortune.
Plaques of recognition and awards
hang on the wall of a simple man’s abode
and the joyous laughter of his kids inside
filled his heart with contentment;
they maybe deprived, but their spirits are free.
Look at the mansion on the nearby hill
lavishly adorned with glittering lights,
yet it looks gloomy and haunted.
Deafening silence filled the air,
as if lost souls there reside;
they maybe wealthy, but prisoners within.
We can take the ghostly roads in town
and expect tranquility at journey’s end;
we may choose to plunge into the abyss
and expect nothing more, nothing less.
We may have fame, fortune and accolades,
yet emptiness still exists within our restless souls.
Success itself is a journey
getting there is all that counts.
There maybe be roadblocks along the way
and curve balls in each and every turn;
no matter which road we take
it doesn’t matter after all,
for success to me is just a state of mind.

What is success? Success is the smallest of things, yet in all actuality they are all part of the bigger things in life. Stay strong because it's okay to be wrong. Each path you take wether it leads you to trial or victory it is one step closer to the future. Your future. It's okay to make mistakes because you know what it takes to succeed. So what is success you ask? Success is you of course, and is all in which you do.

must be my lucky night
may need to hit the gas pump before rolling to the club
nope, got ¾ of a tank
ran into my ex in the parking lot
