Don't know if this will qualify, but I write political satire on another site.  Sometimes what I've written really gets folks jumping.  Just in the last few hours a pious preacher of sorts was being disrespectful over matters of faith and politics.  The following was my response.

"Sir, its not my place to judge your soul,
But I do judge you to be an Asshole."

If this isn't what your looking for, tell me and I'll delete.

      core of mystery

one man can look at fire and see
Hell’s unmerciful inferno

another man can look upon it and see
God’s perfect statement of purification

such is the depth
of a poem

"The essence of life
is not so much
in the much we have
but so much so
in the much joy we derive
from the much we have!"

There weren't any stars in my sky tonight,
Their beauty blocked by the arrogance of precipitating clouds.
And though I tried my hardest to find some truth in his words,
I just couldn't bring myself to believe,
The deceit, the lies,
Yes, I'm emotionally compromised.

She was like a squirrel
gathering nuts even during happy times
just so she'd have plenty to throw at me
when things got tough

being mad at your old lady for cheating on you
while you are overseas for 15 months
is understandable
but it's like
when the dog shits on the rug
when you haven't let it out in a while
get heated
but don't hate the stupid animal forever for it

Words are the vessels in which we hold our thoughts,
They carry the whispers of our ideas and make them real.
Words are the manifestation of our hearts and minds,
But most of all they are meaningless without the meaning we give them.

"A Poetess once told me,
""Power shifts balance all the time
Empires crumble
Wealth and greatness shades too.
The only prosperity you can bed forever is love.""
So i married her."

where thieves thrive, real low-down-dirty thieves, all that's left for the eye to see are starving babies, or smouldering, crumbling cities
