they wait for us to wake
caught between planes & dimensional osmosis
chained to their garden stakes, but
somehow
still lost

maybe they're just playing for us
on black & white negatives
memorised
by the place they lived
or died
or killed
or worse
webbed in the consciousness of trees
the characters of old wood
or they could be jokes from
another planet
sent to shake our perceptions of rea
                                                      li
                                                        ty
but with all the uncertainties
make it easy on the rest
(& unrested in kind)
let's hear the common chorus
"i don't believe in ghosts"

gray mist of night

beau coups of moons have aspired
and a legion of spotlights displayed.
directed upon this ebony path
of night within a cold embrace.

it is here, in the absence of light
i drown in my own grief.
from this heart there is no escape,
no shelter, under which to slumber.

as the ghastly shadows fall,
eclipsing the very breath i draw.
within a malicious embrace entwined
dwelling in fear i am left to depart.

and when the darkness grows
my silent hopes remain.
into a bottomless fathom I plummet
a release from this dim and foreboding place.

my heart reflects the prism of midnight
languishing in death, this flesh.
let thy heart be revealed upon silent winds
whisper unto me the songs of this grave.

THE LABYRINTH

http://i1357.photobucket.com/albums/q755/vetlhana/ROS-HP/Water%20Fairies/waterfairy109.jpg

One mid-summer, I ventured into the unknown
Into the chaotic labyrinth of the nearby woods
Hoping I could find some peace and enlightenment
The jasmine-scented path turned into a maze
Adorned with beautiful flowers and towering trees
I leisurely walked trying to keep a rhythmic cadence
Until I reached a waterfall of shimmering silver
Reflecting the sun’s rays, dancing with the wind
The crystal-clear water was inviting, so I dived
When I came back up to catch my breath
To my surprise, a romantic song captivated me
Coming from a beautiful lady bathing under the falls
She was so pretty; her beauty hypnotized me
The moment our eyes met, my heart was frozen!

We made love for hours until the moonlight appeared
Casting dancing silhouette of towering trees
The rhythmic movements of our bodies entwined
Synchronized heartbeats and lustful moans
Accompanied nature’s nocturnal musical symphony
Pent-up desires so overwhelming about to explode
Heightened sensations overpowering the mind
Heavenly feelings of ascension, nowhere you can find
Until I woke up cold and delirious in my simple abode

Those who searched for me thought I was dead
Because it was already winter when I was found
By the waterfall, lying cold and naked
Embracing a tree on top of the mound
Turned out my lover was the playful and evil fairy
Enchanting passers-by whenever she is horny…

THE SACRIFICE

http://s3.amazonaws.com/post.good.is/EmbeddedImage/19757/org_sacrifice.jpg

At the end of a labyrinth of tunnels
deep, under the city streets—
there lies a circular dungeon
with a magnificent altar in the middle.
Words had it that long time ago
there was a castle above it
where a young, wicked handsome prince
used to live and brought his virgin prey
every time full moon madness is in the air.
It was believed he ate the victims’ hearts,
and drank their blood to keep him young!

Now occupied by the city memorial park—
the once grand and brightly-lit castle
Creepy crawlers lurking in the dark,
and sinister-looking creatures hangout
begin circulating in tabloids and online
snatching virgins each time
the moon doesn’t shine.
Detectives were baffled,
can’t connect the dots;
decided one of them
should go undercover,
join the mysterious cult
suspected of the heinous crimes.

Thus, the finest lady undercover was born—
set herself up as the next victim;
what awaited her was terrifying –
an ordeal beyond human’s imaginations.
When she woke up she was tied on the altar
surrounded with chanting masked men
talking in tongues foreign to her ears
Winter chills filled the air,
as the sacrificial knife was lifted;
it was about to plunge into her heart
when she heard a loud bang,
and the loud firm voice of her partner,
“You are all under arrest!”
Down fell the leader with the knife
and the whole group arrested,
which turned out not a cult,
but a group of psychotic drug addicts
living in the dungeon, underground—
lunatic copycats of the wicked prince.

TREASURES OF THE DEEP

http://th07.deviantart.net/fs71/200H/i/2010/236/1/6/sea_nymph_by_fly10.jpg

The crimson sun was about to hide
A pretty lady was sitting upon a rock,
As my boat was approaching the dock
The water slowly receding into low tide

Looking back, the rock was all I could see
The pretty lady vanished into thin air
No signs of her, except a long strand of hair
Kissed away to the shore by the lovely sea

Folklores abound in our small fishing village
About sea nymphs guarding the golden chest
Never really paid attention, took it as a jest
Until once again, I saw her beautiful image

Reflected on the water by the bright, silvery moon
That was surely the pretty lady swimming away
Slowly turning into a mirage while I watched at bay
Unaware of the signs of the coming tropical typhoon

Heavy downpour and mighty winds abruptly came
Suddenly the raging waves swept me off my feet
Into the lap of the pretty lady I wanted to meet
What a real shame, I didn’t get her name!

My friends who saw me eaten by the raging waves
Thought I was drowned and presumably dead
Because I was found where nobody dares to tread
Except for my grandfather who was really brave

Daring feat of rescue and miraculous survival,
Fifteen minutes of fame—spread like wildfire
Treasures of the deep, how did I acquire?
Inquiries halted, with my pretty lady’s arrival

~spirit transformations~

centuries have passed yet rituals stay closer
moon high in the sky
we start again
Spirits they call us
old gods want to be us
invincible at ease
I scream to you oh please
grab a branch and stay awhile
watch this head bleed out
debts are paid time stops here branches break
and linger here
full moon arise
let heaven have their tithes
looking at this now
we are monsters set out
close your eyes with one left open
this life is over deeply unspoken
I say to you the words slowly
like a rain of skittles
darkened but hoping
I grab the ground let hell take its toll
Your a spirit now
yelp and scream maybe even growl
your different now yet still human
a moon transforms you
dont slip away
the hell will take you once a month
Run flee
but dont hide
for this moon wherever you are
wherever you hide
this moon this bright beaming moon
will always find you
