Poetry Contest

I love to write acrostic poetry.  I would like to see what DUP poets can come up with in acrostic form.
The competition is two weeks

No collaborations

One poem entry

Any genre (only tasteful erotic poetry)

Not too short please.

Have fun.

Look forward to reading....

Here is one of mine as an example.

Affaire De Coeur

G ripping the stars I light my way
I nviting attention to my shapely intentions
V oluptuousness curves its way into the blood
E recting imaginations vivid capabilities

M ould me a night in your open arms
E nvelope my breathy willingness

T antalizing temptations explore porcelain
H eightening the intrigue of this entanglement
E ncompass me in the heat that oozes from you

N aked eyes strip me one sense at a time
I gniting dormant realities that now ache
G asping for the burn of your steel thrust
H  anging onto lips with the tip of my tongue
T easing the edge I smolder at your touch

D ance deep within the realms of my core
A ffaire de coeur give to me the night
R isk it all for the taste of my passion
K iss the stars that I grip to light my way

S timulate my entire succulence as I
T orment your every nerve ending
R un the tip of your tongue along my spine
A nd I will devour you with my hungry mouth
N ectar feeds the need that overwhelms
G row inside me and fill me once again
E nergize my body with your lust and
R elease me from my long held prison

Here's an old one I wrote a couple of years ago, to take the piss outta a member who nearly died of a head cold.

Happy now?

Recently I find myself pondering life
in as much as I can bear
plodding along without faith

Just as the lights were turned on
everything went dark again too soon
something about that sucks eggs
so I wont be having omelettes again

"Give thanks for the life that lived
or at least don't blame god for taking her"
damn priests have all the answers

See! I knew those germs would be the death of you
perhaps if you'd listened, we'd both be still alive
everyone needs a doctor at some stage
even if it is just a bad flu
daring death was never a wise move

Hope you're happy now being dead n'all
and having to deal with heaven

I'll replace this with a new one soon as I get one done.

Marinduque: My Beloved Island Paradise

Moriones festival is a hallmark tradition
Around your six coastal towns
Re-enactment of the legend of Longinus, the blind centurion
In pantomime and colorful Roman costumes
Nocturnal recitation of Christ’s passion in verses
During the entire Lenten season
Usually mark the week long celebration
Queue of flagellants scourging themselves
Under the scorching heat of the summer sun
Echo in my dreams of you, my home - my beloved…

Morning breezes - cool and crisp greet the weary fishermen
Yearning for a hot coffee after wrestling with the cold night at sea

Beautiful maidens abound like sea nymphs in your shores
Endowed with warmth and your charismatic charms
Let the whole world know how beautiful you are
Over the mountain top and beyond your coral reefs
Vanity aside, cast away the dark shadows of politics
Embark on a new boat and set sails to progress
Depart from old habits and give fresh ideas, a chance

Impossible and unreachable our aspirations maybe
So long as we are bound by a single durable, yet flexible strand
Let there be no hurdles along the way that we can't overcome
Against all odds, against envy and persecutions
Natural disasters - you can throw them in the mix
Despite of these, our brave and caring hearts still prevail

Paradise indeed - where I felt the warm sun for the very first time
Along your shorelines and beautiful white sandy beaches
Reverberate in my mind from a distant land of milk and honey
Ambrosia for the gods, nocturnal relief for weary travellers
Dearly loved by your beloved sons and daughters all over the world
Instilled in us the warm hospitality envied by the western moon
Sacred vows and time honored tradition of the coronation
Exultations for guests treated as royalties - once in a lifetime experience!

Ungraceful Grace

U-until the day that I die
N-never will I forget that lie…
G-given and sworn by my beloved
R-right at the time when I thought
A-angels existed, and one was him…
C-cheating was the game he played
E- engaged to one, married to another
F-feeling exultant in his success
U-until I found out his unlovely sport
L-left him with pains between his legs

G-gentle now do I ease in
R-relationships near far or away
A-act though I, so cautious
C-chances are I will love again
E-Enough to fall deep and hurt again.

I have written only one acrostic in my life, but.... It is a tough read. You want it ?

You Never Asked -

You never asked. You made me
On your abortionist's bed
Unnaturally filling my womb.

Harm nurses with precision
Under-developed breasts;
Rolling nipples between your teeth as if
This might take the bite out of it.

My vagina bears down.
Every labored scream was stifled with your hand.

You never asked. You made me
Open with the forceps of legs
Upon legs. You pinned me down

Heated grunts pushing pain further in.
Umbilical chords were
Restrung, as you sectioned out my infant
Tying her down forever to this afterbirth.

My tears, you expected, cooing
Every woman bleeds.

I would have rather remained a child.
But you never asked.

Spin Room

Solutions squandered by a paranoid caveman mentality.
Puritans pissing on peace and planning for nuclear winter
In a cold, shadowy hibernation, Rip Van Winkle worthy,
Never ending and devouring of our hopes and dreams while outing

Reason as an unacceptable and unholy component
Of any civic duty, patriotic booty plan to save
Our sorry asses, numb, naked and bleeding. Living and breathing
Manipulation as one nation under a fear fearing . . . god.
