Nocturne Opus

By the still and quiet waterside,
a lone soul sits in contemplation, dry eyed.
The moon dressed in star-studded twilight
while the fauna congregate for the evening highlight,
a nocturne concerto that is soon to play
the lilting notes of a flute’s oeuvre.

Filling the air is a gentle musical larghetto,
a melody that should have been a dueto,
melancholy sounds yet ever so sweet
float through the night in a delicate beat.
Slowly the notes begin to rise,
wrenching tears from the musician's hooded eyes.

Yet there are no witnesses to this event
for all the eyes are of non human descent,
the animals all listen in hypnotized silence
as the notes ascend and descend in lyrical compliance,
slowly the flautist continues to play
and it seems even time has ceased it’s sway.

Everything in nature seems to go motionless
as the music comes to its crescendo,
“la cuspide del concerto”.
As she arrives at the coda or finale
of the opus nocturne’s totale,
all eyes rest on the musician.

Gently the musical notes begin to fade
as the night’s silence once again reigns,
the animals begin to move and stir
as all goes back to the evening’s overture,
the flautist lowers her instrument and quietly sighs,
gets up and disappears into the mists of the night.

For all the Lonely Lovers

Holding myself against the cold
why, why does it have to be this way,
we all have a right to love and be loved
but cross that line, and there is the devil to pay!

I am so lonely now
and it’s the same day after day,
nothing to look forward to,
except a cold empty bed, always!

Why!!! Does it have to be this way!
Can you answer me that?
What did I do sooo terrible
that this fate is the one I must face?

I have fierce passion and a
strong beating heart, is that not enough?
My body screams in riotous desire
yet there is no one to put out this fire.

Give me wars and give me death!
But do not condemn
me to this misery
as if I had an unpaid debt!

The wind blows cold through my heart,
and soon the life fire that gives its spark
will extinguish itself for lack of love,
then what will be left will be a pitiful hull.

One more night, this night,
this night,tearing me asunder
I must fight and not surrender
but the tears show otherwise,
I am not that clever.

Ohh baby, I am so lonely now;
so I will put this pen down
to wipe my face,
let my tears become the ink
that stains this page.

Gorecki's playing again,
always seems to be the third.
The one that tears you apart
and puts you back together,
a better man.

I bet that soprano
cries when she fucks
and fucks as well
as she cries.

I've never understood
how people don't even know about it.
Up until about three years ago
they were still asking
'Do you actually like it
or is it to look clever?'
It doesn't get much better
than that.

Okay it's not for everyone,
but they aren't as many
soulless fucks
as you'd imagine.
You just don't see them that often,
they've got great music to listen to.

poet Anonymous

As the sub-bass rides
crystalline in my ears,
hammer and anvil scrape together,
crumbling, crackling.
A single drone,
created from eighteen silver strings,
drags itself through me,
beyond me.

As the sub-bass roars
into air and time,
I sweat. I sway
in waves of terror,
barely standing.
Lurching, the notes hang
downwards,
falling through my head
like knives.

As the sub-bass cries,
effervescent and pure,
grooves of fingers tear
through the grooves of wound nickel.
A chord falls,
several thousand miles,
but becomes new again,
and between these two notes,
I close my eyes.

"Let me Let You"

I'll chase the ghosts from your halls and marrow
if you allow me to haunt your crevice.

Let me nurture your screams to those of joy
like a thousand seraphic harlots
moaning a Barber-stringed symphony.

I can cultivate the infertility of the stubborn
scattered memories that have plagued your soil
and forced you to feed on hopes.

Let me roam the summer pines of your head
as the warm rain ignites every follicle,
transcending my weightless being.

I would reconstruct your sacred ruins;
building a strengthened home.
Let me dream and wake, inside your love.
Let me let you do the same.

Can you (me) be the one playing the music? Like how you feel when you play the instrument and just put the band or song that inspired you to make that song ?

Yes, if you could include a link that would be great! Just put your title, and the performer as you.

This group is my inspiration, just one of many songs.
This poem is about me as a performer and the emotions I feel while playing.

"A Cellos Weeping Chorus"

The awakening of my soul
Was the harmonics in a tear
A sweet caress of sympathy
Across the strings of my redemption
And as for my silhouette of fear
I watched her snared in symphony
For her hatred was much to dull
Mesmerized with crippled beauty

A desperate weeping b-flat
Stuck a chorus within my heart
It lavished tortured memories
Of a once serene enlightenment
Alas it died amidst these ashes
And now it's mourned for all to see
Withered, it sings of nightly lashes
So torn's my wooden ebony

The fragile vibrato of my pulse
Reawakens a bows resentment
She glides across silver tragedy
And finds the muse of operas
So lovely's her solo orchestra
Bleeding all forsaken passion
Creates poetic utopia
And hums of my expression
