Lord, of the blood of the lamb, I am in need.
Lord, I have seen worlds of pain,
my heart has ached mightily for things I cannot change,
I have wept many tears of unabashed shame,
carry the stain of things I did not prearrange.
How, oh Lord, to you, do I raise my sight
while I carry the weight of what I have not done right?
Lord, of the blood of the lamb, I am in need.
Lord,I call on you for strength,
liberate me from prideful defiance.
My duty let me bravely perform,
even as I stand in the eye of the storm.
Might does not always make right
I pray let me be righteous in your sight.
Father don’t abandon me now,
I fight humanity’s created battles,
trying not to lose the compassion
you charged us with, in all our actions.
Father! Please have mercy on my retched soul,
at your feet I humbly lay my troubles and woes,
I bear to you the conflict in my heart,
I know I cannot do this alone.
Can you hear this sinner lord? My heart in my hands,
heal me for things I have done at the order of a man
I beg you, take me away from this strife
and let me walk always in your light.

THE LONELY GRAVE
There is a lonely grave
In central Europe
That no-one has visited
The person died
Alone
Abandoned
O GOD grant me forgiveness
For this heresy
I could not visit you before
The land had so much blood
I could not venture there
Only un-absolved repentance
Made me take the dare
So now I stand at your graveside
Bringing pebbles and planting flowers
In this countryside
Oh GOD grant me forgiveness
Oh GOD grant me peace
God protect me from my enemies
An escape from this eternity
Of hatred and deceit.

De Profundis - A prayer after loss
It was for Christ I did all these things -
His life; not my own.
Though a mother may forsake her child,
I would never stand alone.
But He has now left; and his followers, too.
Was this God or a just a man - bloodied and bruised?
My supplications mock and ring hollow as I pray:
De profundis clamavi, ad te Domine.
I seek forgiveness for this sin-
Though not mine, it is my lot;
I too am marked for crucifixion;
And fulfillment of the law –
Every last tittle and every last jot.
The hope I have carried shall be revealed to me at last,
It is a vanity men tell to hide the darkness of their past.
This is my escape and my mercy; my final absolution:
To close my eyes in the peace that there shall be no redemption.

too painful to contemplate
in this tug of war
of gravity
i know theres little mass
in my entity
compared to the VAST
Weight
of Responsibility
when Commited
to Nurture from Seed
to Semi-Complete
i know all too well
that in the shadow
of such Immediacy
i am but one cell
an amoeba
a paramecium
a spec
in the coliseum
where Determined Gladiators
take on The Fates
while Clinging to Their Backs
Their Babes
no!
i will not reduce the Dimension
of such Precious Lives
to obscure lines
written by minstrel
turned mime
though wisps in my cypher's
experience informs
they are the Epitomes
of the D e e p e s t
SUBLIME
how dare i waste
their Mother`s Time?
I Pledge
I`ll continue to RAGE
at EVERY Stage
to Ensure
theres a Place
at ANY Age
to allow US
to turn the page
from In-Between
matrimonial cage
to a molasses
a painfully slow Coalescence
into a True
Soul-Matian Phase
You`ve Witnessed
a Renaissance
Sparked by an Incredible Friend
stumbling to express
all I could muster
was stutter
til my Mocha Muse
Who Paid Her Dues
Naturally Exuded
to Cure my defect
made me feel Included
in a World of Individuals
Each of Unique Worth
and Quality
this Goddess of Truth

of WORTH
to my Being
Her Wisdom
