Glass Jug;

My heart is kept in a glass jug,
Out for the world to see,
Out to be hogged and tugged,
While I stare lifelessly.

My heart is a chew toy,
To the cruel and the weak,
And such purity is soiled,
Where eyes have abandoned the love they seek.

A man feels the steady beat in his palm,
My heart is being touched, how wrong.
He holds the heart out to me then, a smile so warm,
And says softly, “Do you like to sing songs?”

I remember it being placed back in my chest,
As my voice spoke out to this man,
“Thank you for giving my mind some rest,
You are kind for a human.”

And so I sang for the man until dusk,
And he brought me home to a house with a warm hug.
I am no longer just a husk,
With her heart kept in a Glass Jug.

Lemonade

Do you remember the lemonade we sold?

We wanted to sell some lemonade
just how they do it in the movies.
We asked your mother to buy us oranges
and to help us to squeeze them.

We added sugar and we added love,
we had so much fun doing this.
We took some wood and built our booth,
we had bruises all over our bodies.

We laughed so much, while we sat there
and waited for someone to buy our juice.
It didn't really look like lemonade,
but that didn't matter, it sold very well.

We sat there for four hours and sold all of it.
Many people gave us a tip, we earned so much.
I still recall the amount we made, 27 Dollars and 50 cents.
So much money, enough to buy the whole world.
But not enough to have you stay with me.
Not enough for you to live on.

I still remember how bad it tasted, so sour.
We both drank it and then we wondered
how anybody could buy that, we laughed.
One memory will never fade - the lemonade.

PLUTO RULES THE SIGN OF SCORPIO

I was born on Halloween

My mother suffered and screamed

Until I emerged, a baby girl

With a temperament of a scorpion

Beautiful I was; gentle and frail

People underestimated me

For I was the pale studious kind

With the desires of a Queen

Pluto, the God of the Underworld

Constantly transformed me

The changes in my being

Were hidden very well

I had control such as no-one else

For to react - is your fall

I saved my wrath

For that moment

When my opponent

Lost their power

My lovers were afraid of me

For when scorned

They suffered a fate late in life

That makes them rue the day they were born

I age slowly and am desirable to men

I have been tempted to use my powers

In ways that are good and pleasing

However, beware of me

I have a long memory

My powers not worth challenging

I rise like phoenix from the ashes

Keep losing and winning

Always in the game!!!!!

Pillow fight piss up!

POW POW!!
BAM BAM!!
If he can't catch them no one can
Superman, battling the bad bad men
Dodging bullets as he fled
Wheres the blood? Where's the flesh?

Detered by burnt in free to air; tv glare
Bored out of my head, too long before bed
Tv remote clasped in your hand
A household for two, run only by man

Wonderwoman slid of the couch, you didn't flinch, didn't miss me
Grabbed the pillows off the bed
And unplugged the set
You turn around surprised, sad like I stole your candy
Thought of suffocating you but it's too late you already saw me

And POW POW
BAM BAM!
Several blows to the head
Pillows kill off the remote smuggler
Leaves him playing dead
Giggling you steal them both away
The villain pulls me in
And surrenders the game
A fight well won
A night well fought
A city saved
A bad guy caught :)

Lemonade

When I was alone
lonely and afraid
Life threw me lemons
and I made lemonade

When I was with you
Situations were sour
Like home-made lemonade
I add sugar and ice

When you left
I picked the lemons
pour a glass of vodka
and added juiced lemon..

Celebrations!

"Glass Jugs"
by:  Eric L. Boddie

Over the years there have been many glass jugs
Fill with the passion a "kuntry" boy Loves
At first it was pickle juice but now it's something stronger
It takes a lot less and keeps you there longer
Corn liquor....some call it stump some call it shine
But my favorite moniker is calling it all mine....lol
