Poetry Contest

Write a piece describing the impact of colours in your life  [can be a specific colour] or any particular experience of a colour which changed its colour in a different shade.

The pink carnations

You were peeping behind the bride
with those cute and curious eyes
tickling with each twinkle

You came running into my arms
like you were my own
and an analogous carnated copy
i lifted you
as your angel head was
resting on my breasts so secure
and the tiny peanuts
playing kittenish
with my jewelweed
for you're prettier and divine
than my carnated pink carnations.

This kid at the my friend's wedding last evening made me feel so.The heaven's candy floss and brighter than the bouquet of pink of carnations i got for my friend.Though pink isn't my colour[pink turns me mad instead of red lol], but i don't know what made me buy those pink carnations at the floral shop last morning and the kid gave me another definition of pink. Now pink isn't that bad for me.
I see pink taking revenge in a pure pink way.

Example 2;
[another multicoloured experience]

Bailed  Heaven

It isn't that
the my life was
devoid of colours but
some were bleeding RED,
some were thoughtful BLUE,
some were chirpy YELLOW,
some were garnished GREEN,
some were wealthy PURPLE.
but you pigmented the
tissues of my time with
all the
colours of
transparent cosmos.

The Poison of
MILES ceases
our union,
Plucking our paitence
to embrace
the nexus.

Supplemented by your
thoughts my LINES
are stained secure
in the
timeless insurance of
mortality,
as you slip into my
dreams so sure
while i pillow
my brain after
navigating the
wavy waters
through the day.

So write a piece describing the impact of colours in your life [can be a specific colour] or any particular experience of a colour which changed its colour into a different shade.

No word limit
No collabs
Can be new or old

Be colourful

- Colors of Magic -

Blood red, the sun that rises like a resurrected soul,
Extends its’ arms in welcome for the unborn glow...
Mother Night, whispers her last ebon enchantments.
Azure day cracks the black shell by no coincidence!
But first, the orange haze of dawn casts its’ sorcery.
And by such magic the daylight gains a new victory!
Behold, as the emerald blades of grass wave about,
Wet with dewdrops painted by faerie folk that pout.
For they are sad to see their work end with the day,
Since, night is their time and from it they rarely stray.
If life is a rainbow, then the colors of magic paint it...
Upon the canvas of creation, where true art does sit!

At noon, the wind weaves through the swaying trees,
While against rich brown bark, caresses each breeze.
Still and silent lay the meadows, as autumn is coming,
A silence broken by a golden church bell’s clear ring!
The gray season of the dead follows swift once more,
Whilst a golden-haired little girl skips by: happily sure.
I tie pink ribbons in her tresses, soft as silk to touch...
And hand in hand we walk along never needing much.
Her sapphire eyes gaze into mine, big with young life,
As all my troubles melt away and gone is all my strife.
Guided by this colorful spirit, I walk beyond worlds...
To realms that sparkle like diamonds, clear as pearls.

At dusk, the childlike wonder of the day winds down,
Whilst the purple veil of twilight descends all around...
The brass of the sun trumpeting the night like a herald,
Until the very first yellow leaf falls, in a forest so feral!
Autumn comes with Mother Night, with ancient joys...
No longer bound, by summertime heat: humid, moist.
The air is cool as pale ice, even crisp as a rosy apple!
The child of day skips in shadows, young and supple.
Bells ring, children sing and somewhere faerie dance!
And so, the jade cricket is heard, and seen to prance,
For night has descended once again upon all the land.
I follow the child into the evening, and clasp her hand

Is there a limit as to how many poems we can post in this contest? Just curious.

Prismatic  Atlantic

If there's one thing
you should know
you make the dull ring
then lift up everything
which invented new colours
in my rainbow .

You hypnotise with your
Indian eyes
they visualise as much
as they cry
your rainbow it goes
straight into my mind
where all colour
explodes
a place only you and I know
you make a blackhole
reverse and re-glow
in a collective , prismatic
protective
infatic
a selection
of direction
it's so mentally ecstatic
your inter-galactic
and extra attractive
emotional
commotional
in my mad erratic
mind of elastic
where I stretch to you
through the blue , prismatic
of Atlantic
no more underhanded tactic
or life of a plastic
or accused
then abused , some more
locked outside
my own front door
no longer is my esteem poor
and no more ceilings
as the floor
my mind is mine
and you own yours
I just can't wait to grace
your shores
once again
forever more
there's only you
that I implore
we go right through
each others core
you fixed all tears
that others tore
you go where no one's
been before .

Indexing Irises      (SP Summerscales)

There's a band
of red
touched
by some yellow
the day is nearly dead
it glows
against the hollow
she's my flexible friend
all birds
they love to wallow
atmospheric , extend
right through
to tomorrow .

Horses
in the field
new dawnings
are to be
picked out
spectrum hills
adorned
by daffodills .

I look
and I find this
my eyes a book
indexing , irises
looking up
to a higher place
but I'm stuck
by my fireplace
I bid you luck
finding your
happy place .

Till death do us part

Yellow was the colour of my love's hair
In the morning when dawn break
lighting us as we lay among the flowers
Under shady leaves drenched with dew

Green canopy was our wedding arch
Gigantic trees looming in benevolence
On the two lovers traipsing up the path
enchanted by the beauty of a quiet forest

White was the bubbles of the creek
as the water flowed quickly and busily
along its pebbly beds to the rivers
We bathed, smiling and laughing as we talked

Blue was the colour of the sky
When we kissed and made love
Caressed with gentle breezy
breath of zephyr from above

Rose tinted was the evening
sky, when we walked hand in hand
to the shack we called our home
furnished prettily with love divine

As we lived on, gracing the years
The ages of being together
Our smiles with love and laughter
became our sky and our earth forever

Green was the grass when you and I
were laid together in eternal rest
Beneath the sod that covered us
Alive we loved till death did us part.

The world speaks in silence
No sound reaches my ears
Born to loose just one thing
The ability to hear

So alone in my head
From the people in life
With nothing to love

But the pictures i draw
From the colors of life
mixed with those of dispair

My art sings and plays
What my ears cannot hear
With my passion alone

Red loves and bleeds
Blue cries and flies
Greens blooms and decay

My colors are alive
They dance to my beat
And understand my life

Because without colors in my art
I may still feel dead inside

Shades of gray

A world filled with color
and I see pieces of gray.

color in its  purest form of pleasure.
And the most reliable shades
Fading out the onyx that actually happened to you
would invariably disappoint
the colors that never happened
you would never dim
 never fade.

Those colors will  always be engraved on your heart
with sort of a sweet sadness to them.
With shades of Gray

Colours of the courtroom

[/b]Black and White is the
colour of the court
but i can see so many colours
Leading
Objecting
&
Sustaining
between the cases.

The murderer with red hands
in the dock for trial.

The rapist accused of raping
the minor's pink
as her yellow frills
were fringed by fear.

The wealthy purple purse
trying to bribe the attorney
to escape the criminal prosecution.

The sheriff in their
brown civil uniform
with the loaded pistol.

The green property deal
awaiting the decree of
its ownership.

Only the witness of the morals
had invisible colourless tears.

Between black and white
the colours of crime and justice sway
as the judge pronounces his verses
either in black or white.

Here's another although I know you said only 2 but just to share

Black And White   (SP Sunnerscales)

If you think
in black and white
then everything
isn't always right .

You can miss out the facts
that then holds you back
statistical , political
no-alls who
just don't really know
critical , hypocritical
basing life on a public poll .

What is to be
we cannot see
don't live in the land
of negativity
which holds up hands
that harbour worry
all desert sands
were once a sea
don't give up on
positivity
the best can come
from the most risky .

If the world
was black and white
then we wouldn't
have any colour
in our sight .

You know rakhi the idea for colour is so right in this as a competition , it plays a huge part in my writing .

What You Are Inside Of  I

I see
your freeze frame
this picture's driving me insane
theres only part of you
that's showing
with half a name
I long to know you
invent new colour , alien hues
turn all the bad , golden
enable breathing on the moon .

Imagine floatation
we're absent
from rotation .

Orchestral notes are pitching high
we are like Kestrel's
in new skies
we could kiss Neptune
or Jupiter's eye
I am the octagon
but no sides lie
I roll and rock too
I've lived a lot of life
so I need to know you
before I go and die .

Take me away
to where new suns
light up your face
with an amethyst haze
that does eradicate
gone days  .

The cool of ruby
and all red  , is truly too me
the jewels that you have bled
and the food
you do feed too me
the words that I have read
walk around inside my head
sometimes they run instead
because of your athletic legs

if I could I'd replace
the dead stars in the sky
if it did so place
what you are
inside of  I  .
