Poetry Contest

Write a poem telling me about your favourite destination to relax, have fun or socialise in.
Okay, I'm going away for a few days to visit my grandma. I love where she lives with the fields surrounding her and the skies streak with the sunset and sunrise colours. It's quite peaceful there if you go for a walk but its right next to a main road XD

Anyway, to cut to the chase, while I'm gone, I want you to tell me your favourite destination to relax, have fun or socialise is. But it has to be a poem. I'll be closing this challenge when I get back so it'll be closing Wednesday (if all goes to plan) and I should be able to announce a winner on Thursday. Good luck.

The owners of the alley smile
as I walk through the revolving door.
The skittles of life
will soon be colliding with the floor.
A place to release my anger
But also a place where I can have fun
and so much more.

I take the largest ball, Labelled with the letter R.
Not specifying meaning, so I assume that it means Rage.
It's time for my talent to come out of it's cage.
Knock over all the skittles, that are standing upon the stage.

Strike the Screen Displays
with excitement my face is ablaze.
Everyone else is amazed.

Bowling , One of the very little things I'm good at

( I like bowling to have fun and socialize (: )

Places

Any where with sunshine
And with peaceful birds that sing.
Anywhere that gives me inspiration
for my poetry and writing.

Anywhere With Sandy Beaches,
anywhere near the sea.
Anywhere I can see such beauty
Is where I love to be.

Anywhere I can feel like smiling
Anywhere I feel secure
Anywhere I can just be myself
Is the place I'll be for sure.

There's a quaint little place,
on the corner
of corpus and anima.
Have you ever been?

They serve tea
from mismatched bowls.
While a man
and his harmonica
play foe their dinner.

I love it here.

Drop by sometime.
I'm the bouncer,
and I don't let just
anyone in.

written a while ago, guess its my fav haunt

My Eighth Floor Balcony

I like sitting here
barefoot on cold white tiles of
my riverfaced, back-door balcony of
many sounds and one vision,
the town is just a baby's rattle
behind me, as I lean
my head against its colder rails,
and watch the faraway greens
bury the dead sun
of their dreams.

I can then toss them
the crawling things,
one by one,
and see them quashed dirty
on the ground.

Or I can drown them quiet
in a million frowns
of the green river,
or feed them else
to tired homing birds.

And when night peeps in
like a stealthy lover,
I can stand nude,
fearless for once
and serve me,
full and whole
to the nightwind.
every strand,
every pore
open to his airy fingers.

I can then pass on to him
what is left of you,
all the wriggling ones
and trust him
to take them far.
away from me
and without recourse either
to their black foresthome
where they shall rot
in your weedy green.
Then I shall compose
my silt-smelling elegy on you.
