A New Year's End   (SP Summerscales)

So it's all over
once again
gone is the nova
which had to end
alone for another
no time to spend
under the covered
clock of chimed
suspend
I look to some other
way my life can lend
but there is no brother's
to comfort me nor tend
I will not blubber
my mind it will defend
but I know I'm going under
to a new years end .

The skies
crash down and thunder
my mind
a rumbling wonder
so blind
a stumbling blunder
in this world of
lock down dungeon .

Mistletoe
“Look up babe, it’s gonna snow”

she looks up at the mistletoe
I kiss her tenderly
the surprise on her face is easy to see

She kissed back with an unknown longing
Like this is what she dreamed
The best present for her
was myself

In this hold
I told her

“I love you, and all I want for Christmas is you”

you said

“All I want is you too”

A Cannibals Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has arrived and theirs nothing to eat.
A starving single mom has two children to feed.
They won't stop whining and crying about their hunger,
The starving single mom is fed up and begins to ponder.

"My children are young and to weak to fight.
Maybe I'll add them to the menu tonight."
As malicious thoughts dwell in her head.
She turns to her young daughter and says.

"My sweet little angel, please don't cry.
Mommy s making something special tonight.
Go down the basement and don't be sad.
Help mommy out, by finding an oven bag."

The sad little girl begins to wipe her tears.
Then slowly walks down the basement in fear.
The lights go out and everything goes black.
The starving single mom slams the door on her back.

Then she walks to her son holding a rope.
The boy looks confused as she grabs him by the throat.
And ties him down to the kitchen table.
Her only son, the first born she cradled.

She looks into his eyes before she lets him go.
Decapitates, dismembers, then stuffs his torso.
And bastes it like a Thanksgiving turkey.
Then sticks it in the oven without guilt or worries.

"Time to check on the daughter." She opens the door
and finds her crying on the dirty floor.
Then says "Don't worry my love, I'm back.
Did you find mommy her oven bag?"

The sad little girl again wipes her tears.
And says "Yes mommy It's right here.
Can we get out now? It's dark and I'm scared."
The starving single mom snatches the bag and grabs her by the hair.

She wraps the oven bag around her head.
And suffocates her daughter to death.
The deeds are done. Killing her children with no remorse.
Now her next sin shall takes it course.

With a sharp blade slices her daughters chest.
Forces her hands in and opens her breast.
Then pulls out the heart and stares with widened eyes.
Licking her lips as she bakes it in a pie.

Her son is ready and serves a big plate.
She sits at the table and begins to say grace.
"Thank you God for this wonderful meal,
no more hunger, I soon will be filled.

I rid myself of the crying and tears.
No more whining, no more fears.
My children are gone, now I'm at peace.
Blessed with this food, now I'm ready to feast."

She takes a bite of her son and forgets to chew.
Trying to swallow, she begins to choke on her food.
Her eyes wide open, her hands around her throat.
No ones around to help, She's all alone.

Gasping for air she goes to the sink.
Hoping to find something to drink.
She slips on her daughters blood that pours from her carcass. Uncareful,
she lands on the sink and her hair gets caught in the garbage disposal.

The sound of metal clanking, pulling her head down the drain.
Roots of her hair rips off her skull, exposing her brain.
Then fall backs on her daughters opened rib cage.
Impaling through her heart, taking her to the grave.

The Story of the Candy Cane
Long ago
at the north pole
Elves couldn’t work past
a certain age

The stock of toys were low
they had to use coal
and not every nice
kid get a gift

Well Santa decided that
he needed to fix this
So he made the elves canes
out of candy

It only seemed fit
and they made more gifts
Everything was looking up
Then one Christmas

An elf
helped Santa
But he dropped his cane
by the fire place

A little boy
stopped opening his toys
and found this candy
that was tasty

That’s when Santa had a thought
What if the canes could be bought
So he gave the recipes
to the Candy factories

And now well have Candy canes
in the shape of a J
And now the world is a better place
All because of the Candy canes

Off are the heels
and off is the wet, white shirt
as you pull the black tie from my drenched hair.
Fill my stockings with kisses,
remove them with teeth
that are unafraid
for I feel you not
in the fire light
somewhere 'tween Christmas eve
and Christmas day
on a bottle of wine
and listening to Greensleeves.
Lay your blanket across my skin,
bathe me in light
and I'll be the angel
sat atop your Christmas tree,
spare a little light for me
when I'm not there at dawn.

     < christmas paper >

    i took your face today
    i wrapped it up

    wrapped it in the paper
    that we used last christmas

    last christmas
    when we stayed up
    folding it
    folding it
    into the shapes
    of kids
    into the life
    we wanted

    what to do this year
    what to do
with the paper that's left over?

    i took your face today

What did Christmas bring me this year...?

A package wrapped of silver and blue,
Contained a naughty little black and white photo of you...

Perfumed scented instructions to be followed to the tee,
A feather, honey dust, strawberries and cans of whip cream…

The further I look, the more I find, I see you like it rough,
Whips, chains and leather, but I love the fuzzy red covered cuffs …

My body trembled as my mind filled with fantasies,
But I didn’t lose all control til I saw you in those red little panties…

Christmas

Cold hearth
Silent carols
Dark night
a friend's death
a strangled wail
Tired eyes
Christmas
Alone this year

- The Seed of Joy -
A Poem of Christmas

There was a place in olden times, where children used to play,
In the forests of our land, where many a river wound its' way.
I recall where we skipped stones upon the water, hearts light,
And the rocks where we sat, watching the sky, as fell the night.
Innocent times for innocent hearts, every walk a noble quest...
For young fools whose hearts beat madly, when life was best.
The songs we sang, the games we played, the mess we made,
And yet I long for those days, as this age is cast in such shade!
Light is scarce, and I seek it where I may, even in bygone days,
When the world was simpler, and nobler were all human ways.
With the eyes of a child, I try to see the world as once I'd done,
And the light is still there, beckoning to me both fair and so fun!

So many eyes are dulled with time, but mine sparkle with mirth,
For why must we age ourselves so far beyond our mortal birth!
Surely the gods must laugh, for we deprive ourselves of glory...
Every time we forget a happy season, or a once-beloved story.
I remember every game I played, every book I have ever read,
For in golden memories we recall the taste of jams and bread...
Or cookies baked fresh upon the stove, one chilly autumn day.
Cast not aside your happiness, nor what made it feel that way!
The touch of silk upon the skin, the sound of leaves that rustle,
Each can be soft and soothing to the soul, each a dear time...
When life was unhurried and yet we went about with a bustle,
Running with the energy of youth, never seeing it as sublime.

Too soon we grow old, and all too soon a mortal must perish...
But what defines a life is what we keep eternal: all we cherish!
So much living I must do, so many hours yet to fill with mad joy,
And I will love each hour as I did, as a child with a favorite toy.
Why do we no longer walk in the woods, or play in the leaves?
What makes those joys for childhood alone, nobody ever sees!
Because joy is for everybody, and no age can take it from you,
Unless you will it, so walk in joy my friends and laugh ever true!
Sadness will come in its' hour; seek it not, for no good lies thus,
In making of life a torment, and of every difficulty so much fuss.
Christmas is nigh; let your hearts unburden themselves anew...
Let us join hands like little children, so each dream comes true!

Glory, glory, let us sing, each girl a queen and each boy a king...
Gather all around the tree, and count each and every blessing!
Soon we'll hear the sound of music, and the ringing of the bells,
Perhaps we'll forget the logic of the years, and believe in elves!
Oh gods to know such joy again, this world has so much need...
So let us mortals do our part, and in each heart plant this seed!
The seed of joy for Christmas time, from which new joys spring,
Glory, glory, let us sing, each girl a queen and each boy a king!
Dance and let loudly your voices proclaim the happiness within,
For which we have longed throughout the year, with such vigor.
In mad abandon, let us forget the darkness of sadness and sin:
That can ensnare the will like some terrible and ferocious tiger!

Outside, the trees may sway with the wind and cold may come,
But within each heart that is content, the chill may be undone...
Remember the angels we made in the snow in yet another age?
They are only gone when we forget, and fill our souls with rage.
Remember the pets we loved so much, the faithful dog, or cat?
Their spirits are still with us, and the memory of where they sat.
Even loved ones lost to time, can share with us in joys unborn,
So let us be joyful upon this season and have us a merry morn!
Somewhere elves are singing with us, and pegasi are flying high,
Somewhere beyond the northern lights, even beyond the sky...
That is where our dreams can soar; we need only let them go,
To gain the wings of angels, and fly where gentler winds blow!

The snow is gone,
Back to the sky,
Leaving small children,
To moan, to cry,
To complain to mum,
To scream at dad,
To bewail their fate,
Unfair, so sad,
Snowman melted,
And in its place,
Some coal, a carrot,
Its ruined face,
A scarf as blown,
Up to the fence,
And the hat away,
To a far off grid reference,
Now just memories,
Of what they've done,
But still just memories,
Cause The snow is gone.
