Mea Culpa

We pretend to be
strangers who
never met,
who never kissed
and never met.

Slow down your hart
theres no reason
to bleed
what you thought was rare
is fast becomeing a weed

Swansong

Humming breathlessly at
        your feet,
wishing
    upon
    a
    falling
    star.
Dreaming
restlessly about tomorrow,
chorusing
the eventless space we now fill.

As the darkness sets for a blinking moment
a flash of sheer bright light trickling
through the universal meta tags that
bond us.

Temptation.

And the purity of voice is heard echoeing
in its presense.

A last attempted

breath

before you say

the word

.

[font=Courier New][size=2]  Since it's not a competition, here's one of my DU poems:

     < forgotten >

some sort of song is coming out
  my next door neighbor's window

and i find myself singing it
  not knowing it or anything
  just singing it

  it mentions you

  it mentions you again

  and the chorus answers me
  as my heart used to
  the one i've forgotten
the one i'm embarrassed to talk about
sings along reminding me of you
  of how we sang
  this song
  forgotten
  like my heart

"Romance is a dying language"

Tell me in French
so unwelcome words are disguised --
I'll see dandelion seeds drifting across
and along the late summer's curves
instead

Or Italian
the language of red spread by sweeping of arms
engaged by tongues drumming
emphasized by light
and warm and sun
and I'll forget

You could try to put it straight in German
a charge rumbling my spine
piercing, getting it through
possibly for real this time --

though, I wouldn't advise you to tell me in Spanish
Its music wouldn't even let me hear
what it was you meant to say

I could read best
your expressions, the lines that toast
your elements
I'd fondle them like braille
but would never speak their sounds

Or
you could wait another day
perhaps...

but I'm sure I'd listen more intently
if you didn't say, "the end"
at all

How did you
Do what you did
Place my heart in your hands
Let go of your grasp
And let it fall to the floor
How do you
Do what you do
Without me in your plans
Without the one you needed
But failed to be-friend
Where did you go
When you should've been her all along
Gone from my dreams
And still in my arms
Why did you leave
When it was me that you wanted
You don't need what I got
You don't love me no more :'(

why are there competitions that end and aren't judged ???????

Geez Paul, this is the third one... Umm it does seem to me that these things are not taken seriously by the OP's. Maybe we need to request some kind of control on this or something...It's just wrong man!

EDIT:
Just a Note:
This particular one mentions that there will not be a judging or trophy on the front page...
