Sci-Fi Meditation
i’m floating
in that space
between
being and
not
like the battle starship
in the black hole
beset on one side by Romulans
and on the other Darth Vader
like captain James T. Kirk
alone in my quarters
trusting Spock and Wookie
to guide us
safely past the worm tunnels
and through the asteroid belts
knowing that Scottie will fix the warped drive
Luke and Mr. Solo will procure whatever supplies we need
and keep the ladies satisfied
so i drift
peacefully
in that space
between
being and
not
in that space

not

unmeasured & incalculable
do not think to measure her worth
based solely on her topography
the length & breadth of her geography
such values mean little
or nothing
compared to her incomparable depths
think not to judge by her surface structure
it pales to a mere glimmer
next to the incandescent shimmer
burning within her
she radiates potential
exudes power & strength
give her room
and she'll remake worlds
with her personal fire

Summery blankets of dough
kneaded over plates of sinking storm
scented in petrichor.
The rising illuminating competence
consummates tropical dreary.
Eating clouds is a pasttime.
The trees mellow.
I was a green man
with the face of a willow.
The fall maple invokes me.
I gush sap.
Sappy, sweet story.
In the sun, I am happy.
Feel me down.
The summery blankets of dough
taste better now.
The storm sinks from the face to the gulf.
In the late of the night,
I am kin to the sun.

A chanteuse chanted her magic chanson
Ajji La Tara Tarajji Shazam,
enchanting enticing my candle relights,
conjuring her singing among dead neurons
sparking sparkling me alive to delight.
Abracadabra et Alakazam,
A shivering goes down from head to toe
bewitching me hexing me yearning to go
Ajji La Tara Tarajji Shazam,
Incanted me inside this great occult spell
all Oceans and Continents then vanishéd
and I was washed away upon this great swell
and I became right - outside of my head.
Abracadabra et Alakazam,
On her broomstick wee spirits set sail
up and around the moon we are as one
to our grandkids grandkids we will regale
how she wrought magic with her magic tounge.
