"The Temptation of the Seraphic: A Tale of Fiery Lust and Forbidden Love"
Oh, cruel fate, that shouldst conspire
To kindle lust within the fire
Of Satan's black and wretched heart,
And bind it to a thing apart.
An angel fair, with wings of gold,
And eyes that shone like stars of old,
Was she that caught the devil's eye,
And drew his sinful soul nigh.
He watched her from his throne of flame,
And felt a yearning without name,
A hunger deep and dark and wild,
A thirst that could not be beguiled.
He knew that he could not possess
This holy creature, pure and blessed,
Yet still, he burned with fierce desire,
And longed to quench his lustful fire.
He whispered words of dark deceit,
And offered gifts both sweet and neat,
But all in vain, for she was true,
And saw the evil that he knew.
And so the devil raged and railed,
And in his heart, the fire still flailed,
For though he knew his lust was wrong,
He could not quell it with his song.
Oh, wretched soul, condemned to be
Forever bound by lust's decree,
How bitter is the cup thou hast drunk,
How dire the fate that thou hast sunk.
