Ah, 'tis upon us
once again-- tax time...
Yes, the period where we peasants
get penalized
if we don't submit them
by the deadline
yet...
"they" get no recourse
for not sending out our forms
and summaries
by "their" deadline
of January 31st.
It's like Russian Roulette
wondering if you'll get a refund
or pay in.
Perhaps we can defund the IRS ?
Can I get receipts for everything
the government has spent my money on?
-- It must be for a worthy cause, right
since they've needed so much of it
over the years ?
One can daydream, though
of how different life would be
if refunded every penny
ever paid in
since getting taxed in the first place
however many years ago.
