Poetry Contest

Write a poem based on the AI art generated from your username
I’ve become mildly obsessed with AI art over the last few weeks. You basically type in a word or phrase, and allow artificial intelligence to generate a picture for you. Some of the things that it has produced has been scary accurate…

Here’s what I would like you to do:

• Visit an AI art generator online. Here’s one you can use, but you can use any you like: https://creator.nightcafe.studio/create/text-to-image?algo=stable

• Type in your user name as the art prompt and see what the AI produces as a picture.

• Write a poem based on your image.

Here’s what AI produced based on my name as an example. I can’t use the website image box because of a DU glitch I’ve reported to the webmiss… but here’s a link: https://i.ibb.co/SXYKphx/B6-EB41-E6-BADC-4-D38-A508-9390-E9-BCE625.jpg

Rules

• New writes only
• one entry per poet
• please post your image with your entry
• No restrictions on length
• No erotica, please
• spoken / visual / video allowed

soul in a soul

a soul
inside a soul
carrying the
weight of
the pain
the abuse
the anger
the frustration
the sorrow
the abandonment...

and,
always found
a new face
to paint over
and cover
the reality

These images were created on #midjourney AI program with the keywords "soul of dejure",
I use the middle one as the primary to write the poem, although I loved all other creations as well.

the alchemist's bible

intuitive chaos bringing forth the hallowed winds
a whisper, a chant and incantations divulge her name...Crimsin

in sacred trust let it be known
in the interstellar dawn a woman of knowledge
trailing time to collect tears of femineity
who in sanctuary's keep does remember the greater wisdoms

hoping for an eternal love to evolve
involving honesty the keeper of visions
directing the heart's of humanity

a seedling of destiny growing towards the light bearer
tasting of divinity
a fruit tree ripe in the garden
has conceived faith in the sacred circle of fate

divining justice of blind men and consequence
a gifted alchemist
lest she boast

Conjured

5am coffee, fresh

counter seats, and
white notebook sheets
partially scribbled doodles
and half-written words

reminiscent,
she blurs her truths
of past, of present- enmeshed
into one specific un-space

outside

neon shapes light up
flat paper building tops, and
youthful screams conjuring
clever chromatic accounts
of cityscape stories:
the lights, the nightlife,
the experience you love
when you can afford to

still

she walks away, wakes

for 5am coffee, and
delayed story lines written
on white notebook paper,
in the spaces of truth, and

for some other time.

Plug and Play

They dressed her up in patent leather and named her Rachelle.
They didn’t know that it would matter, but they needed a name, so they chose something they found sexy.
They kept her tethered in the cellar. She didn’t need vitamin D anyway, was their thought about the whole thing, if they even ever thought about the whole thing.
After all, she didn’t have feelings.

Plug and play.
At their pleasure.

One tit bigger than the other, because they couldn’t agree, so why choose - can’t we have it all?
Masters and creators of the perfect little toy.
They never saw it coming, or so they would say if they could.
When she started to talk back, they thought it was ‘oh so hot’.
When she started to protest they were going too hard, they thought ‘man, she just gets better and better.’
But when she came out guns blazing, and blew them all to shreds, they knew, in those final seconds, they knew.
You don’t ever keep a Rachelle underground, patent pending notwithstanding.

R.
