Wardruna

Very peaceful song.
I like the touch of the wooden instruments.
The song may refer to elves and
Witches of way back when
But they also exist through this day
Some reincarnated possibly
In the lovely Witches of Spring,
The Wiccas.

The world of witches

I am fascinated, mesmerized
By the world of witches
Perhaps most of them were
Very ordinary women
With a strong bond to Nature,
With a superb knowledge of herbs, spices
And medecines,
The sort of knowledge which scared men
Especially men of the clergy,
Weak and oftentimes uneducated men
Who resented their secret powers
Which they likely figured were gifts.
Of the devil
So the threat had to be eliminated
Yet witches, with their special flair about Nature
Exist (thank God) to this day

eldgamle ånder

Ancient spirits are calling
Visiting through the echoes of time
Alive in the wind and breeze
In the warmth of the light of the sun

Ancient spirits are voicing
Rejoicing in the revival through song
As man and nature reconnect
Bringing us closer to Mother Earth

Ancient spirits are telling
Of old ways that have disappeared
As the heart lingers for something
That ties to us to the forgotten past

And if you listen closely
You can hear the wind and sun sing
Ancient spirits are rejoicing
Visiting through the echoes of time
