Poetry Contest

It is the place where you would like to be...or maybe it was but you lost it and always try to regain it....
Your dream world could also  be in the Sci-fi world.    I wish it to be told in poetic form.  Between 20  and 50 lines.   Be creative, go wild, have fun. Regards, Robert.

science-fiction in a tea cup

energies expand and contract
ever flowing throughout the cosmos
making manifest oneself through more than one portal at a time
the illusion of self being present on only this wavelength is false
we are present in the vast universes as well

pieces of our being living out a dream
the matrix is a construct we affix to
an anchor to keep us grounded
the truth of us is interconnected
soul to soul, mind to mind
and to the great vast unknown
inspiration feeds our need for knowledge

it is my belief space craft are not needed to travel the universes
as we are connected to the space time continuum
but our deepest selves remain hidden
while parts of us visit here and elsewhere throughout the cosmos
traveling dimension to dimension just a thought away

I don't believe in aliens
I believe they are family we have not seen in some time
being separated by space exploration
we unite in the celestial corridor exchanging notes

I awaken with a sigh
and I wonder was it just a dream

Dream world

It was a piece of land
In my Godfather's family.
A huge forest around a lake.
He and his wife owned most of it.
Total quiet year round.
The main house sitting near
The seldom traversed road
The guest house closer to the shore.
We'd go there in the Summer.
We'd go fishing or for long walks in the woods,
Picking berries, eating half,
The other half for the pies.
It was an age of discoveries,
And no worries. Total freedom.
For my birthday my Godfather
Gave me my first Atlas.
So I sat in the row-boat,  sailed the seas
And visited many continents.
I travelled the world while remaining
In that wonderful Dream World.

Friendship Starts

crashing by the shore,
everything’s not as before,
the sounds of galore

soft voices remixed,
dancing tunes so upbeat,
laughter in the mix

make my heart tremble,
oceanic serenity,
making a rumble

moment to wonder,
a beauty beyond yonder,
ocean deep so sweet!

dark, oh exotic,
path oh so damn romantic,
yes! it’s fantastic

take me deep under,
no thunder, only splendor,
corals so tender

I’m write them rhymes,
a true sapio fucking my mind,
for a soul to find!

depths of the ocean
you are one amazing smile
Blown of proportion

the hunt for a shark
it’s the whale with a soft heart
friendship from the start!

Brandy Twilight

In a Romanoff brandy twilight
our souls will soon dance
in an endless line of blue hills
and cinnamon grass of memories

with a roasted butternut risotto
and the twilight blending in
alone walk across the night
through open windows of crystals

decending with accapella of sing
and long wings of mimes
at the end of a falsetto of rainbows
in an endless line of blue hills

so be kind to your clarinet
and wooden reeds of cane
with an obsidian quill as I write
"God bless your sleeping eyes"

A nice number of great submissions.  A jury will decide, not me.  Thanks for submitting.
