Poetry Contest

I want to feel what you do. Try to encapture a particular emotion as best you can. Any emotion is fine, but try to make it as specific as you can.

guidelines:
None, write however you feel called to do.

I gAve you mY sOul  !!

What is that that I'm feeling right now
Is it pain of my ego being hurt?
My mind wants you out of it but how
Which words did you fake and which were meant?

My inside is as blackish as my night
My motives were brutally disarmed
And I dwell in a violent lovebite
from my love and my hope for ever banned

How can I allow this in my life?
Being tortured from myself and call it fate
Where is my eternal spark of light
Is there anything in this plane that isn't fake?

I will die and my rebirth is this arrow
I will keep it on my skin like a souvenir
it has poisoned my blood within a narrow
that goes straight from the heart to the atmosphere
While polluting the fucking air with nuclear waste
of emotions and charged feelings drained to death
All I see is a button saying 'erase'
as I struggle to restrain my fucking breathe

On High

On High

Smoke escapes lips freshly kissed.
It dances through the air
In desperate attempts to return to her.
For she is the drug
And I can truly understand
 The need for a return.
Seduced by her smile
As she draws closer,
I welcome the embrace.
Does she know
How her body warms my soul?
Looking at me with eyes
That seem to hide
Something deep inside,
This sweet girl ignites my passion.
Further fueling my desire.
Dark, soft skin,
Her body now exposed,
Electric to the touch.
My hand reaches out,
Gently tracing her spine.
She arches her back
Her hand now in mine.
Kissing her neck,
I'm breathing her in.
Inhaling so deep,
My intoxicant.
Enjoying our high.
She stays in my arms
And melts into me.

emotion to a friendship

blistered by fever.
a delusional sensation grabs,
adding pain,
far within.
so swift, in delivery, is her arrow of  flight;
gentle is the touch, as it lights

the nurturing,
a growth that stems its base.
the fertilized. as intensified, a minute moment.
a gift.
subtle as kindness, is the case.
giving blossom to comfort.
a warmness,
yet the milking of  blood from the heart,
racing to a beat
moonshine intoxicating,
let not the rays ever sleep.

how does one encompass
or foster her love.
the essence of  a scared heart,
so she does.
with mental disembodiment
a thin layer, yet fine the crust.
still present....
after the settling of  this miner’s dust.

my moon sets each to a new day,
and as I lay,
Softly, I pray.
in question delivers my tone,
will I have to remain timeless in her,
leaving only footsteps behind and me to be alone?

A Million Quills

When my heart broke I felt a deep seeded need to bleed
So my veins supplied the ink to write a verse
Through a million quills I dropped notions onto the page
With all the rage my soul could roar saying, this hurts

But it wasn’t enough, I wanted to dye and delve even further
Deeper into the colors of emotion and the far unknown
To paint the pain with texts and flames to somehow explain
Why I was torn at the core when I could feel it in my bones

So I travelled through what must’ve been a thousand years
Explored worlds and realms that would show me how to grow
I swam in rivers and streams of a new subconciousness
That eventually would teach me how to open up and flow

And my blood spilled a flood of words that broke me, damned
Poems poured and penned without the intention to send
Composed to a host of ghosts that haunted me in dreams
Revealing that my ache will become a memory like an old friend

Catch that Pigeon

I used to feel as smart
as a done up top button,
always sat up straight
for the spare milk.
But collars get tighter
long days try to apologise,
children get carried like rugby balls
to the weekend try line.

With age comes responsibility
so I applied and got the job
the fountain of all knowledge,
apparently "youth" was already taken.
So now they ask and I tell them,
they ask again and I show them.
Each day my pigeon flies out the window
and returns with messages
heavy around his ankle.
So I sit in the dark and read them,
I look at my phone and I read them.

He tells me what it's like,
the freedom of flight
out over the city down the tracks
into the country, washing high
over the coast.

I hope one day he never comes back.

Unbridled joy

To spin like a record newly pressed
the needle hit the virgin groove
some snatch that you are truly blessed
is wine to sip that tastes so good

Comes from the womb, a mothers smile
new life for her to hold
labour's done, a new born child
shine like the purest gold

Our treasure not be coin or wealth
to spend in selfish ways
be blessed with vigour and with health
holes in our pockets. give all that's saved

Harbinger of ballet moves
the gasses grace
and walk with sunshine in your shoes
the moment NOW, transcendental space
