February
Old Man Winter traversed the lands
stopping, occasionally, to undo
the hobo-sack on his walking stick, to
pour out the snows .
White and whirling, they came --
sometimes in furies
sometimes in silence
but always making peace with the Earth, before settling down its blanket, o'er hills and valleys.
He tipped his hat to the sun, heavy-lidded
and slumbering, and walked on
into crystalline fields .

I am absolutely going to do this, and just haven't got to it yet. Maybe tomorrow!

April
I breathe warm air upon the earth.
Life-giving breath. Ruach.
I push the darkness back towards the night
giving the sun more hours;
encouraging growth, new life, rebirth.
My cascading showers irrigate the soil,
quenching the thirst of the plants and flowers.
Leaves and grass spring forth,
transforming the world to shades of green
which are interspersed with white clouds in the sky
and early clouds of pinkish blossom on the trees.
Esprit d'avril.

The Wheel , Half Way Spun
Fog And Sun , Haze And Blaze ,
Sixth The Month , Yet Now Waning Days ,
Still Let Us Equate Where One's Head Lays ,
Above Or Below A Line That Plays
Hedging A Bet Within Time's Maze
A Step To Each Side The Seasons Stay

December
Evergreen and pine scent wafted
from the deep woods
a cardinal perched on a holly branch
seemed a staged holiday greeting
the crunch of footsteps
interrupted the hushed silence of snow
wood smoke from a cheery hearth
beckoned weary travelers
laden with good cheer
as whats left of Fall
wobbled off into the chilled night
gobbled up by winter

January
Draped in a white coat
A frigid cold stare, he is not kind
With a wave of his hand
The winds blow
Frost covers his eyes, your eyes
And the windows between
Ice covers the trees, like figurines in a curio cabinet
Holding them, weighing them down
Till their spines break
Every day is a battle, every day he will win
But he won't last forever
Nothing does
A frigid cold stare, he is not kind
With a wave of his hand
The winds blow
Frost covers his eyes, your eyes
And the windows between
Ice covers the trees, like figurines in a curio cabinet
Holding them, weighing them down
Till their spines break
Every day is a battle, every day he will win
But he won't last forever
Nothing does

WOW, thank you Razzerleaf! I'm absolutely shocked - I didn't find the brief very easy at all, and thought the other entries were amazing. April is an excellent month though.
