I DON'T HATE: I AVOID

I hate don't anyone its too much work
Too many people around me makes me go berserk
People don't really get my quirks
So I lurk

I avoid physical contact unless it pleases me completely
I try to live my life in peace - Discreetly
Living in worlds I created so neatly
Finding myself happy there concretely'

I can virtually be forward and I invade people's space
In real life I tend to keep my mouth shut and know my place
Like any female I like feeling sexy and I like wearing lace (alter ego)
But only those I let know me will see my true face

Being tough and protecting myself is a must
I let people way too close and believed in a thing called trust
Things that happened were very unjust
But that doesn't change the fact that I now have to live with disgust (my past)

I care too much and seldom expect the same
I think Id be happy even If someone just remembered my name
When no one knows your secrets there can be no shame
Its not the world I'm afraid off, Its myself I need to tame

Judge this book by her cover if that is what make you feel ok
My true self is precious and only if you open me I can display
Who I am truly the rest is just foreplay
I know what I bring to the table baby - Full Buffet

I don't hate
I just avoid

*LENE*

the flesh saves

born owning nothing
more then the skin
covering my bones

time rented,
barely a soul
to spare

after sixty plus
years, still stealing
kisses from the
stars and choking
on dirty words from
strangers in dark
bar room corners

haunted by the
holy ghost,

hunted by the
arrow of
time

hurried by the
fury of
life

ragtag, raging and
marching against
the tide of
sanity and
reason

those too few nights
of miraculous,
precious
passion

riding the waves of
another persons
body

owning nothing
but the skin
that covers
these old
bones

but that is enough
to hold a dream,
to let go of
fear

and to find
life

swallowtail

reaching through reams
of darkness
your cocoon
a mere twist of fate
torn through the seams
of time
expanding superbulous

oh how you fly
on glorified wings
to the most treasured places
mingling your essence
in every flower

dusting your beauty
into the hearts of every
inner child
who longs to capture
everything you are ...

if we only understood
your short journey
joy actualized
into our bellies
where laughter
lifts you to the heavens

[ CC ] The Second Coming of Yeats

He may haft died on a dark, cold day
during the meanest of seasons
but this was not his ending
for poets like Yeats defy time
through dedication to craft
and persistence of rhyme;
a mere coupling of reasons
why he's considered one of the greats

And regarding the written word
the lowliest disciple among us
eagerly awaits his return and many
more mooning, swooning spectacles
the likes of which you've already read
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny!

We discover ourselves immortalized
reflected in the spectacles he wore
as if aviator goggles on his head
currently kept with his ashes in an urn
on Ireland's mantle, never to be spread
upon the North Atlantic shore
or swept under some grubby pub rug;

we proudly keep him on display
despite his breath having been taken away
by Death, that dastardly, heartless thug
who left him dead on a dark, cold day!

And though this may
sound like a bit of a roast
---a toast! A toast is in order, I say!
From his lips to your ears
stanza'd water turned to wine
vintaged way beyond its years
dialectably divine

So stop what you are doing
and drink your fill!
Of every precious drop
do not spill!
Don't for a moment tempt the Fates
for the world moving forward
is already a glass half empty
without that hopeless romantic
Irish bastard, Yeats!
