When the veil is thin you appear
But did you ever leave
When that pot of molten lava sets for the eve
And the shadows grow bigger on the leaves of the trees
I feel you in every fiber of my being
My body, my breath and the world that surrounds
You’re holding me close all around

The Shaman's Journey: On Strings of Webs

The contours of dark lines
among the stars
within twinkling nights
mysterious diadems
floating outside peripheries
of a walker’s twinkling eye
they travel

travellers of the cosmos
knowing not time
nor venerate hours
catching gossamer webs
of lost ones
souls left meandering
on unlighted paths

walkers watch with care
not guests to sights
beyond the flesh
cowering behind thin veils
of mortal trance
walkers call softly
to those they seek

as travellers pass by
silence like a hushed birth
of a holy prince
their countenance in fiery beauty
evoke fear and trembling
deep veneration
for these cosmic beings

they ride on flashes of lights
crests of the highest order
on their shields
these beings sons of El
forever roam the realms
around the universe
for the ultimate Sovereign

the walkers
returning
will never
speak of Them.

Dream Catcher

in the early mornings hours
the wind carries no sound
before the new day flowers
and the sun shows it’s crown

golden silence raises a smile
colours form a painted scene
would love your company awhile
my soul needs to come clean

the long shadows you undress
phoenix slow in her ascent
time drips like honey’s caress
sacred is the life we’ve spent

embrace the lines of my face
mist performs a ritual dance
I’d spend forever in this place
spare nobody a second glance

picture of beauty and grace
there cannot be another
joined like leather and lace
come to me my morning lover

a swirling scent of pleasure
this inescapable conclusion
after all there is no measure
reality is not a mere illusion

in the rays of the dawning sun
waken the sleeper in the garden
I’m back where my memories run
a new day grants me a pardon

Saying goodbye to sunlight

The daylight slips like an otter
into the stream behind tired eyes,
its dusty pink embers quench
the ruddy cheeks of falling clouds.

lush lips search out the sweet
damp grass of nightfall
and calls out the ground
that fears the flaming torch.

The darkening scent of silhouetted trees
rest their leaves as all creatures
breathe the shallow breaths of sleep
and whisper incantations
only the dawn will hear.

Pondering

In wistfulness, we gaze into our own beyond.
Rise, in lies, life's confessions,
still some half hidden.
The clouds that mimic us
dusk's outlines in burned charcoal
Dark ends of the spectrum, resonate
omnipotence staged, the panorama's open page.
Our changing world it needs,
a sentinel to overwatch
Sometimes benign.
Sometimes to glower with reproach.
Days endings, its paper cut-out
dreams, images come home to rest.
The covers of tiredness, a mask.
Not god,
but self preservation,
staring us out.
Leaving  one to ponder.
that instant in a world of wonder
