Medical Marijuana Cannabis
Marijuana Cannabis
Is it pure mental bliss
After taking an inhaling hit
A relaxing euphoric trip
I know I’m spreading it on just a tad too thick
For many Americans they feel they are getting the short end of the stick
My number one topic on my wish list, yes it was handpicked
I once danced so gracefully as a Prima Donna Ballerina
Dancing on stage at Madison Square Garden arena
Daily braces to walk has brought my existence down a peg
My wonderment was always found in my arms, my body, my legs
Struck with MS at a very early age
For me, no more Pique Turns, no more Fourette Turns on stage
That plant I require in grounded form, resembles seasoning Sage
However, I’m not at lawful age
Feeling the discouragement of my parent’s relentless and winless political rage
Congress refusing to pass laws in my state to have medical marijuana usage placed on page
In some states, this war of words has taken a devastating toil
To pass laws to have marijuana used as a medication converted to Cannabis Oil
Should we suffer our symptoms in silence
When so many Americans’ voices are now in compliance
A plant to be used for debilitating conditions, surely, is a gift of science
To assist when limbs that refuse to move or just quit
Why must some of us continue to deal with this
I have hopes and dreams to conquer, now I’m left with stage longing reminisce
Can’t move to California, or Colorado
Dealing with the ramifications of a concept to grasp, if you must know
Father was just promoted and paying for my medication using the back-door method mode
Sadly, for the accumulating medical bills, our first home was sold
Should loving parents be the blame for such an unfounded risk of a silent claim
Seeing a loved one suffer due to Congress’ waiting game
Legalize…hum what’s my opinion
I’m the writer, my beliefs are not deemed, this is God’s dominion
As a Nurse
Yes, I do see your hurt
As a woman of society, I hear your loud cries
In some states it’s legal, but not mine, the echoing parental whys
Drug screens
Failure designed by several hidden means
My biggest concern
The ratio is meant to only burn
Trust me, I am not speaking out of turn
Listen and Learn
THC lowest threshold
The salvation to some as medical gold
Amphetamine, Methamphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine, Methadone, Propoxyphene
Ten Panel Drug Screen
Not fair as it may seem
I’ve witnessed in testing patients, and have seen, not meaning to sound bias or mean
THC’s discerning threshold
The American choice to reap what they sow, strictly uncontrolled, medically consoled, yet DEA patrolled
Lowest element to behold
First ratio tester from a panel glimpsed, your concept to employment has been sold
Leaving you out in the cold
Positive tested
No employment for you will be invested
Other drugs placed on a higher rating scale
Urine tested falling under Head or Tails
Used a week ago
However, on the job, drug addict on the down low
Fair is, as one would think fair does
For the medical benefits, I give my blessings with love
Some say science has not caught up with this controversial wonder drug to use as such
However, look at all the elements it is known to assist, various medical conditions pretty much
As usual, the Houses of Congress moves in no rush
Pharmaceutical Companies stocks come to pass
Telling American people and your medical elements to go away with your wicked forecast
Utilized to reduce nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy, improve appetite in people with HIV/AIDS, muscle spasms and reduce chronic pain
From my standpoint an excellent argument to go against the grain
For the sake of argument it’s a plant from the start
Chemical compounded into a medical work of art
Upstanding, pay taxes, some would admit it’s their daily choice to smoke
Most seem to say it does not makes you steal for it, sell your body, or even go broke
Wake up America there is a chart that defines your deterred employment dreams
All found in the urine of your Drug Screen
Is it pure mental bliss
After taking an inhaling hit
A relaxing euphoric trip
I know I’m spreading it on just a tad too thick
For many Americans they feel they are getting the short end of the stick

What The Fuck! A Christmas Poem
Some voices in my head want me out;
they keep saying stop being full of shit:
put some money where our mouth is!
All this doesn’t quite make sense to me.
Woke up early this morning and found
the list below tucked between the left &
right hemispheres. Maybe I should get out.

I've just gotta ask,
I know it’s been a year. Well, more than that actually, a year and 10 weeks, give or take a day depending on how you cut it. If it's after midnight and the people haven't slept from the day before, is that event of the new day, or the previous day? I haven’t been able to decide. I’ve run out of things to analyze about our story.
It’s been over a year since I’d seen your face. A little less since we've last spoke. For you, it’s been a year and 10 weeks since we’d been in the same area. Truth is, I’ve been in town for a few months. But I guess you’ll find that out if you wanna get some coffee, or a drink, or something?
No one ever picks something. Maybe this time you will.
Coffee would be nice. I agree, coffee would be nice.
There’s a lot less pressure and a lot less mistakes. We have space to rationalize, room to think. We’ve got to be mindful of our energy, we have to breathe.
I agree, coffee would be nice. I know a place by me, I’ve been meaning to explore a few more spots.
I wouldn’t call it a test, but it’d mean a lot to me if you’d made the trip for once.
How long are you in town for, you’d say.
Actually I moved here when my lease was up in the summer, I’d say.
Why didn’t you tell me? Because I needed to put my roots down without you.
There’d be a pause. I didn’t mean it like that. But you’d know what I meant.
I’ve wanted to call, we’d both say, angry at ourselves that we never did. Why is it so hard for us? I want to ask. Maybe this time I will. But not before I throw up butterflies. Discreetly, into my coffee cup.
Too hot, I'd say.
It’ll be excruciating but we have to do it.
How have you been? Are you still at that one job? What are you doing now, then?
It’s weird, we hate these surface level, mundane conversations, but we’re dying to know, and we’re dying to know every single day, that’s why we’re doing them now.
We’re dancing, we’ve always been good at dancing.
Did you move by yourself? No, no, my two friends grew up in the area and wanted to try something new, and if I signed another lease I feel like I’d be overstaying my welcome.
Oh so now we’ve got 3 of you assholes in the big city? C’monnn!
Always such a kidder. I just wish you’d say it. Just say you’re happy to hear that. That you’re happy the world is so small. That you’re really glad I met those friends. Give me a crumb; why do you hoard all your thoughts like they won’t be yours if you share them?
How about you, are you still with your boys?
I’m not sure what you’ll say. You’re a bit of a wild card.
There’ll be another pause. We won’t know if it’s been seconds or minutes. I’m distracted by something outside and you’re watching the steam from the espresso machine create a curtain of fog between the cashier and the customer. The only curtain between us is the burning tension, like a balloon blowing up with air until it pops.
Am I hearing your brain or mine, saying get it over with, just ask?
Are you seeing anyone?
Or is that too forward. Should I say it or should you say it?
Do either of us really want to know? We wouldn’t have come if we didn’t, I think.
Maybe I’ll say it. I can’t hold back like I did last time, and I want to show you that I trust you. I should show you how I’m feeling for once in my life.

Sorry Girls, Those Boys? They Aren't Ever Worth Your Future
Fourteen, fifteen
sixteen, seventeen
eighteen, nineteen,
twenty to twenty one
and everyone else
who's new to this scene
we call mainstream love-
More like toxic monogamy,
Hollywood stalking mistaken as love
and media depictions of abuse
portrayed as affection and how
"it's meant to be"
Girls are growing and learning,
taking on fields once dominated
by men
Women no longer care about pleasing
the gender that oppressed,
beat, destroyed, and silenced
their mothers, grandmothers,
and so many others
Love, my advice is to keep evolving
because you don't need men
you need education and to start breaking
the iron fist men have over the careers
you dream of having someday
And no, this ain't a mysandrist rant
but it sure as fuck is what you young girls
need to hear the most right now
Yep, I fucking said it
screw those hormonal surges
screaming at you to kiss the nearest frog
you're a queen, not a pauper
he's the enemy at your castle gates
seeking entrance to implant his damage
and laugh at the aftermath with his friends
These boys will dump you for a rock
and clump your worth with objects
they can play and trade like
you're some kind of game
they can let turn to dust
on their shelf
(And even if you aren't eighteen)
They'll deepfake your pictures
and blackmail for your compliance
they'll share your nudes on the web
and despise our whole gender
when women come back
and make them look like a fool
after making money off it
Your images shared without consent
you can now turn into copyright
(If you do it right and are of legal age)
and soon they realize blackmail
through sharing images of your body,
your bare naked ass, tits, and vagina
has no power anymore,
It's simply a business promotion
for you
If they want your body but not your heart
they want your time, but not your art
they better cough up the money
since they think you're something to buy
From the day they're born
they're taught that girls are a conquest,
they're taught to weaponize the words
slut, bitch, whore, cunt
and when they lose the power
of what they think was a "hunt"
they want to play the victim
and point their dirty fingers
right back at us
Unfortunately for them
none of those words
are hurtful anymore
Oh and you may say
"but not all boys,
not all men-"
Sweetheart, the above excuse
is made to dismiss
the statistic of our gender suffering
to their suffocating, smothering
oppressing tongues and fists
taught to crush your lungs
and break your wrists
If you can't name five men off the top
of your head you can trust then
"not all men" is the laziest,
most ridiculous argument
I have ever heard
Your worth is not based
on the amount of babies you can pop out
for some stupid man in some stupid house
being his live-in servant and made to think
your silence is some sort of virtue
You have more life to give than that
and you can take whatever "life"
implanted inside you and take it away too
Men covet our power to give life
and are terrified..
because with the power to create life
comes the power to take it away
You, my dear
have all the power
because a fetus is not a baby
it's a parasite until you decide it isn't
and only then.. does it become life
And being told to bear children
in this dumpster fire of an economy
is the same as putting a fish in a tree
and telling it to breathe
And let's never forget
saying no to a boy can leave you
dead in a ditch, raped in your own home
or even shot through the head
This is why you're taught to hold your keys
like a weapon when you're walking alone
this is why you're taught
to aim for the eyes, the nose, the throat
to scream and claw and bite but..
Isn't it funny how..
they don't teach you to kill?
because his reputation and life
is more important than yours
I'm telling you right now..
Kill.
He can't testify if he's 6 feet in the dirt
Become the names he calls you
and wear it like armor
no man can hurt you, manipulate
or abuse you if they realize you
have all the power now
Because..
It's 2020
no grown ass woman
gives a flying fuck
about what men want
we're fighting back
and you know what?
We're winning
